The Wega series is a very good series..... except for the 32" sets. The 27" is awesome and so are the 36" sets but the 32" have had a lot of problems. $799 is worth it.. but Fry's has the 36" set every now and then for $999 and that is a much better TV...

CompUSA has a set of 5 speakers + sub + external Dolby Digital Decoder for around $100 (US)... You will need a dolby digital output from your sound card or hardware decoder... The creative labs and hollywood decoder cards have it.. and the sound blaster 5.1 sound cards have it also...

the way I see it. you have to spend $50 for DVD and $50 for VC and add $50 for you HD.. that comes out to be $300...But do you have a 56k modem? 10\100NIC? wireless...
