I am using Win2k with SP4 and each PC has a NIC and I have a switch as well as a router/ DSL... some say if I have a Switch it works better than the router ? Is there a tutorial I can set each PC to have its own IP address ? Since I have paid for it ?
When connected to the Router packet loss is 20-100% but connected to the modem itself is fine.. there are 1000s of messages of the same thing on the newgroups and many other forums.. on comcast locking up routers even though all are no connected at all the time..
Have 2 other computers conected to a Linksys 4 port DSL router to comcast but somehow after connected to the router.. packet loss begins.. ideas.. I have had no problems for the past 2 years and only recently had this problem... I tried everything, tweaks to everything else but still no go...
yES i PAY ABOUT $90+ + tAX AND i GET ranging from 1.1mbs to 2.4... when it should be around 2.9-3.4 mbs with most of my friends I have seen. Yes they are crap. overcharge and poor service.
I just upgraded to pro account but connection are less than 1mbps.. what can I do ??? I have done all tweaks and everything else.. nothing works. What can it be then.. using Windows 2000 with SP4.. on another collegue his just flies.

Beware of Outpost.. maxtor denied my claim for $50... with a valid cut out UPC code from the box itself and also with the official outpost receipt. They said it was not valid....many companies now are hungry and will post rebates sometimes to get attention or maybe the webmaster forgot to update...
Outpost have them for $169.000 after rebate anywhere else cheaper ? Just note that Outpost sold me a drive ][200 gigs] which the rebate was no valid 8=( about 3 weeks ago..

I am using a 800 MHZ FSB CPU for this 400/533 Mobo [small form factor]... it is nice but not sure why. Even installed a separate AGP video card still no go. Please advise. I am using 2 PC 2700 PNY Memory.
