Win Xp Pro 256MB or 512Mb Ram

I started with 256 and XP Pro and went to 512. I can run with all the bells and whistles on with no problems. Go with the 512. You won't be unhappy. ;)

I have Charter Digital Cable right now with Internet Access to come soon. I dumped DirecTV for Digital Cable because I got the more diverse channel selection for less per month (and no dropouts during Alabama style thunderstorms). I'll go for the Cable Modem and get rid of ISDN and end getting...

Has anyone experienced this problem with hard drives before?

This might be reaching a bit, but have you tried to fdisk the master boot record to erase it? fdisk /mbr at a DOS Prompt.

What's the best PCI Display adapter out there?

I used a Voodoo 3 2000 16 mb PCI card for quite a while, until I upgraded to an AGP motherboard. Now my son has it. Nice, stable...never had a problem with it. Good solid piece of hardware.

Not enough ram, bad hard drive......?

I have also seen this behavior if the machine hasn't been reboot in a long time (like many days...say 10 to 20 )... I have found in my analyst experience that rebooting a Winders box will fix a lot of odd little problems.

Athlon Tbird 900 Temps

What should be the normal CPU and mobo temps with this chip? I have an ASUS A7V mobo, and ASUS PC Probe is reporting temps that appear to be a bit high... (118 F on CPU and 108 on mobo)....

Win98SE and some Memory problem!

Most of the times that I have seen this it is a machine in severe need of rebooting. Where I work, we recommend that ALL users on our network do a Shutdown and Restart at the end of each work day. And the ones that don't are usually the ones that call up complaining at us (along with the ones...

AMD Athlon 900 Question

I have an Athlon 900 with an Asus A7V KT 133 Motherboard. The ASUS Probe tool tells me the Processor is running at 900 with a max of 1.2 Ghz. The question is ... Is this a 1.2 Ghz processor and I am stupidly underclocking it....or is it a 900 mhz that I can overclock to a max of 1.2 Ghz...

Asus A7V 133 and Mass Storage Device

I have an Asus A7V with an Athlon 900 processor. Bios is detecting a PCI Mass Storage Device that does not exist and Winders has it listed under Unknown Devices as a Mass Storage Device. How can I get my system not to recognize this device on bootup? System works fine, but I like my Device...
