Task manager and RTVSCAN.EXE???????

I came across a copy from a friend that is why I am using the corp at home, updating is not a problem.

This is my home machine, I am hesitant to contact tech support fo this issue. I haved tried the knowledge base on their website. Not much help.

rtvscan.exe and task manager?????

Here is the problem, I was running WIN XP and Norton ANti Virus Corp, Edition 7.6. Out of the blue my system processess shoots up to 100% (mostly while surfing, also while idling). If I end the rtvscan (norton real time scan) process, it would never leave the list but the system process will...

I haven't set any scheduled scans, and this can usually happens several times a day.
