Question Buy/repair X99 motherboard

An option may be to look at the Chinese x99 motherboards. I don't have any personal experience with them, but from what I have heard they are basic, inexpensive, but reliable boards. Usually no overclocking, etc. Prices seem to go from $80 to $120 (USD). I have no idea as to the availability...

Question Best b550 or x570 motherboard for quad rank b-die (5950x)

Interesting. Perhaps I shall have to retune my memory overclock, I just set XMP and tuned from there.

AMD's History of Chip Sizes - or Why chiplets were overdue

That's darned impressive. The zen 2 chiplet is among the smallest chips amd ever produced. Just shows what you get when you go through a die shrink and move most of your uncore to a separate chip.

Back in the day, when Intel released the nehalem architecture with it's imc, it was said that a high dram voltage and memory controller voltage could kill your processor. Running your system with ram voltage - imc voltage >= 0.5v was bad for the longevity of the processor. Is this still true for...

From what I have been reading, it sounds like Crucial memory with 'AES' in the model number is all micron e die.
