I am using XP and IE 6.0. I need to use a intranet site that does a browser detect and only allows IE 5.5 users in.
How can I spoof my user agent and access this site?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to setup Samba on a RH 7.1 box. The instructions say to edit the services file and add the line for port 901. No problem. The second step is to remove the comment line from the SWAT line in the inetd file. I have reinstalled Linux several times and can not find this file. I have...
I am trying to setup Samba on a RH 7.1 box so that I can browse my network. I am very new (2days) to Linux and need some help. The install for Samba states that a SWAT line needs to be added to the inetd.conf file. I do not have this file anywhere. Is this because I setup the box as a...
If you right click on My Network Places and choose properties. Then right click on the network connection, choose status. It should show the connection speed to the switch.

Try this. In your network props. Click on Access Control. You probably have the default set to shared access. Change this to user access and authenicate to the NT Server or NT Domain (which ever you have your server set as). Reboot and see if you get the login prompt.

Just trying to help.

I have not installed SP1 on the server. I added a second card and got the NAT to install. I just don't know how to configure it. Both NICs should be set to DHCP in the card properties? Correct?

Thanks for all the...
Thanks for the replies. I have used the wizard and at the end it tells me that it can't find a network adapter. Even though I have network connectivity to the internet. I will look further but would appreciate any help.

My cable modem provider uses DHCP addresses and allows me to have 2 concurrent connections. I would like to setup NAT on my 2000 Server and have more. Can anyone point me to a site that give step by step instructions on how to install/configure NAT?
Mike

I would like to setup ICS to allow a couple of computers to use a DSL connection, but would like to deny access to others.
What is the best way to do this?
Mike
See if your friend can ping your box.
Are you using a firewall package like Zone Alarm? If so, he will not be able to get to you. Shutdown the firewall while you are transfering the file and then bring it back up.
