Droolman,
That isn't a dump ;)
That's normal production from my LAN at full power ;)
I'm working on some service clients for the stations, and then that will be my standard 24/7 output.
I'm also doing rc5 on those machines during the week (till I get a fast service client built)...
I would jump over and help out the SETI team except for 2 things:
(1) By the time I get seti configured on all the boxes it will hardly be worth the effort. It takes a while to hand config a lan <sigh>
(2) SETI's work units are just too damned big. I figured seti would eat 8GB a month+ on my...
kirafu,
nslookup <ipaddress>
Failing that, start looking for IPs in blocks of 64... i.e.
nslookup 192.168.0.1
nslookup 192.168.0.65
nslookup 192.168.0.129
nslookup 192.168.0.193
and then in blocks of 32.. it's very rare than any isp will have ip blocks smaller than 32.
Steve
Virge,
Remember we are talking about paranoid corporate america here.. I just got a call from an old site yesterday.. haven't been for >2 years.. they had one running and are all freaked out... <sigh>. clueless morons.

ECC Proxy Update:
Save your time.. there is just too much malformed data flowing across for me to catch it all with the proxy.... I will look into dropping in an alternate transport mechanism to the clients.
Steve
Okay everyone,
I tossed up a new version that should work with the bugs as they exist. The blocks to send count isn't perfect, but it shouldn't crash.. it will buffer and send anything past what it thinks is 20 (which is anywhere from 20-30)...
Steve
Forget it, this is pointless... I'm not writting an http server, especially considering the bugs in the post data this client is sending..
Content Length 1430 (according to post header)
Data sent 1414....
<grumble>... no proxy until I talk to Chris about the data the client sends out.
Attn everyone.. I should be posting a new version of the ecc proxy tonight.. my apologize for not doing it sooner but had a doozy of a week at work.. and it only got worse as it went.
Steve
Russ,
How yeah been? Kinda OT I know.. but this thread is en-route to hell, via la handbasket anyway ;)
Whatcha cracking/searching/crunching/etc. now?
Steve
Okay,
So let's see if I get this right..
TA/SO tried once again (when I say I'm new here I mean I haven't been here in a while) to do something.... and it doesn't work.. again...
Next question... why is it always TA/SO.. why not TA/AT... (looks cooler IMHO)... what I'm asking is, what is...
Set your branch up to have a gateway of 10.0.1.200 (default gateway on the machines)... hopefully, if the routers are configured correctly that should be all you need to do... seeing as they are routers they should be....
We over at ProcessTree/Dcypher are working on something special for you folks out there (on the volunteer side.. the pay side is doing interesting things as well)... hopefully there will be 4-5 volunteer projects at PT for you to enjoy... <evil grin>
Steve
In fairness to d.net I don't think this is something people could exploit to cheat.
As far as I can tell they still have to live through ogr work times... actually I think I know how you COULD exploit it, but I'm not going to say.
Steve
Poof:
Very familiar with the exploits of both Mr. Beberg and the folding@home crew... I speak with Vijay@stanford on a psuedo regular basis.

Re: Taking it hard
It's not so much that we take it hard, but rather we are disappointed by the knee jerk reaction from people that Chris and Myself have personally corresponded with for a period of YEARS now. Guys like Virge especially hit hard, after I for one gave him 500K of my old...
Mindless,
Re: Im not sure how usefull this will actually be. In order to test web site performance the connections will need to have 0% packet loss. Just 2% packet loss will scew the results. Since most home internet connections aren't exactly reliable this makes it even worse. I think at this...
