can I ask who and why? Any alternative to GPEDIT = quicker - no! easier - hell no! What is wrong with gpedit? coming from Win9x and poledit - gpedit is a walk in the park!!! Just use it to do the job it is designed for. alternatively you could threaten him with bodily harm...

What's the fixation with wireless stuff?

I guess my concern is the MAJOR increase in EMR around us, anyhow living in New Zealand I am not too concerned as population density is way low and there are some pretty remote and deserted places.

What's the fixation with wireless stuff?

I prefer cables because I am not convinced that all this wireless radiation is completely harmless. It would be interesting to look back at this time in a hundred years from now and just see what detrimental effects occured directly as a result of the proliferation of all these wireless devices.

Have you tried your LCD on someone else's computer? I suspect that your LCD is nbg.

Did a bios update and now printer doesn't print, Help!

Have you reset the BIOS options to the defaults and checked that the LPT port is enabled in the BIOS?

The output on the battery states 9.6v the output on the adapter is 18v - the current supply is not an issue and the voltage can easily be modified with a regulator cicuit that I already have. It is the connecting of the + and - and making it work where the issue lies.

Hi, I need to power my Compaq Armada directly from my car's power source (12V). However I need detailed information on the wiring of either (or both) the battery or power adapter. Unfortunately just connecting the appropriate voltage (+ and - ) does not work as I suspect there is circuitry...

As of 8am NZST the RC5 client has been allocated and at present I am averaging 34.5MKeys/sec! :D :cool: I would love to run it 24/7 but the only way I can run it for now is in the background when the screensaver is running. Still this should average out to quiet a healthy key rate over a week...

This could cause some confusion however I have only ever used BartManInNZ in the irc room. For a time it was BartManGoingToHolland but I am back in New Zealand now it stay as BartManInNZ. The REAL, BartMan In New Zealand! :P

RigorousT - sorry should have answered your question - they are built using a Win98SE unattended install over the network. We have some other management software that then installs all the apps assigned to each PC.

Cable for Video Output

My cable has both S-Video and Composite. I just ran a 'standard' RCA-RCA cable from my PC to TV and the picture was pretty crap. The brightness and color tended to fluctuate, and it was showing signs of interferance as well. I am not about to buy some monster cable or the like. Just wondered if...
