Just found out the beta version has this error problem after 16K passes. I dowloaded the version 22(latest release version) and was able to run 2 instances for >24hrs.
Ya, I have the memtest utility (windows version) which I ran stable overnight. You can't really tell your system is stable by just running memtest though.

What version prime95 are you using? Do you get some error after 16K passes?

What do you use to test for stability? At first, I try using prime95 v2.37 but it always ends with an error after 16K passes( even when I don't overclock). Now, I have only Sandra "Burn-in Wizard" and 3Dmark2001SE loop mode to test for stability.
I am only able to get my 1G Kit PC3500 at dual configuration to run stable at 2.5 3 3 7 at 450MHz, VDIMM 2.85V on my P4C800-E board. I am curious if anybody got better at that FSB setting?

I had to reflash cos I had a bios checksum error which the mobo reflashed the default bios P4C800ED.ROM in the Asus CDROM to recover.

Good luck to you Underclocked...cos they are not the only ones to lie about their product being "in stock". This unfortunately is a common tale among online merchants. We just have to categorize Dell as an online merchant of questionable business ethics and not to be trusted.

I already have a Lite-on 16x10x40x drive with updated Nero software installed. When my order arrives, can I just replace the old Lite-on with the new Lite-on ? In other words, will Nero be smart enough to work with the 40x12x48x drive without reconfiguration?
My Diamond Pro 2020U died on me a few days before the 3 year warrenty expired. Luckily I was able to get a replacement but still have to pay for the shipping (defective monitor back to NEC) charge.
