Why Galaxy S7 Edge is the best device ever

The S7E has a surprisingly small footprint and huge battery for its size. The screen is amazing. The edge part I am not really sold on, but because I wanted a larger screen and battery I got sucked into it. It was either that, or the Note 5 without the Samsung Promotion that's going on right...

    2016 Miata - R&T First Drive

My previous car was one of those. When I am by myself rowing my own boat it's adequate for acceleration and merging, but when it's loaded up with a couple of passengers and cargo you'll quickly realize what it can and cannot do, and at 3100lbs it's definitely a porker to begin with.

    Samsung's decline

The $200-$400 market is where companies have turn to to squeezing out profits, but it's becoming a very fierce market to swim in. Emerging markets like India and China is where the wars are being waged. People have been paying $600-$800 for smartphones, but that cost has been hidden in...

How future proof are the current Android flagship phones?

The trend seems to be moving the average price per smartphone downwards as competition sweeps in with better value propitious in the $200-$300 space. Will the market be able to support all the newcomers? Probably not, but seems like there's a lot of money on the table up for grabs right now...

Cannibalisation - Bigger iPhone VS. iPad

I was pretty me going into my Galaxy Tab 3 8" at the $250 price point, but for simply Web browsing and nothing else it suited my needs just fine and though I did find it a bit slow at first I got used to it rather quickly and it's been my daily driver at home, though there are times I would...

Off work for last 12 days....now dreading going back!

For someone who usually does 6 day work weeks, having 2 days off is nice. Taking 3 days off makes me feel lazy. With appointments and errands after the work day, on day off, and meet up it can get tiring fast. Add to that having only 2-3 hrs sleep some nights it can be challenging. Very much...

Advice for New Phone: Note 4 vs Moto X (2014) vs Nexus 6

At the end of my 8 hr work day, I am usually left with 60-70% battery life, that's with an average screen on time of 1.5 hours of being on the phone, light gaming, and Web browsing. I am neutral about TouchWiz, it's existence doesn't bother me at all.

Christmas Who got a Moto 360?

Finally got a hold of one today. The watch is beautiful, but the leather strap feels cheap. I thought the low-res display would bother me, but honestly it doesn't bother me that much, pixels are visible mainly when I go into settings and have to scroll through the small sized fonts, but for...

Christmas Who got a Moto 360?

Is the battery in the moto 360 user accessible and user replaceable? I wonder 2yrs down the road when the battery is depleted whether it would be replaceable or if there's planned obsolescence. I would be kind of pissed if they really expect us to change smart watches every 2-3yrs like we do...

    Anyone still running the gnex?

Mine feels like a dinosaur now, but really 2-3yr in the smartphone world means this thing has become ancient. It now would randomly reboot (though rare), freeze for up to 15-20 seconds when you launch an app, kick you out of an app (mainly browser), or lag horribly between photo swipes.

I keep hearing from people that riding a motorcycle is way too dangourous

When shit hits the fan, just remember you'll be the pile that's laying on the road. Seriously, you have a warped sense of reality and safety. On the road, you are a risk to yourself, and likewise all the other fellas on the road are a risk to you. In a situation involving an accident I will...

How was Winter for You this Year?

Considering we used to live in Winterpeg for a good two decades, winter in Calgary here is nothing in comparison. Mild snow days for the most part, wind gusts here and there, a couple of -25ish*c weeks. As long as you're properly layered and your vehicle is up to snuff winter isn't that bad...

Somebody was driving a little too fast

A vehicle with larger mass would tend to take longer to come to a full stop. AWD/4WD systems I don't believe aid in braking and/or steering situations, especially if you don't have the right tires for the road to begin with. Driving a vehicle that sits high off the ground, be it an SUV, CUV...

Downshifting or not with manual transmission in city?

I've always coasted in whatever gear I'm in, until I hit about 1500rpm then throw it into neutral and apply the brakes if by the time I get to the intersection it's still red. Or when it turns green, I throw it into whatever gear I feel is necessary for the situation.

Thinking of new car, 2014 Forester???

I didn't like the CVT in the Nissan Sentra, but the CVT in the Forrester and the Crosstrek are different animals, better response and doesn't have that CVT whine. The Forrester offers better value for the money, but personally I like the styling of the Crosstrek much more, that and I didn't...

    Small SUV for baby, suggestions?

While you're at the Subaru dealership, take a look at the Subaru Crosstrek XV as well. Looks small (for a CUV/SUV) from the outside but quite roomy on the inside. Gets great mileage considering its an AWD SUV.
