Anyone ever used those halogen worklights they sell at hardware stores for photography lights (el cheapo I know)

White balance tweaking helps... some, but not nearly enough to be really right... But you're right, it tends to "flatten" the colors. Light works for digi-photography the same as it does for film-photography.

Spyware problem (Udpfloder)

You should be able to get rid of it if you login to Safe Mode. AVG can't do anything with it because it's running.

HostPC, basic account is $29.99/year. I've been with them for 3+ years and have absolutely no complaints! But they won't let you have phpbb -- they've banned it because of its many, many security exploits.

Recommend a discount web host with phpBB( < $5/mo)

You might want to look into changing from phpbb -- there are lots of exploits right now taking advantage of it. Several hosts have had to take some rather extreme actions (including suspending accounts) to protect themselves from these problems.

Problem with Firefox cache and gmail

Obviously, he didn't know what CCleaner is - duh! He asked - reread his post. I didn't know either, so I googled it. Assuming it's the same thing, it sounds like you should really ask your question at CCleaner's Forums. It's most likely a problem with their software - not with FF.

Dude - your withholdings are all screwed up if you're that far off... You're giving the government an interest-free loan of 2-3k every year. You want a little extra in your paycheck - fix your withholdings so you come out nearly even at the end of the year!

OH NO!!! A VIRUS

Most likely if it's in your windows folders, it's in your system restore files. Turn off system restore. This will cause all of the SR files to be deleted. If you need more help than that, you're gonna have to give us some more clues... what is the virus? Its exact location? Stuff like...

Physics Project - EGG DROP (CAN I USE BALLOONS?)

In college, the architectural students would do this, though out the 3rd floor windows. The only materials they got were toothpicks and white (elmer's) glue. Amazingly, many eggs survived to be dropped again!

PHOTOGRAPHY: what's the best time of day to take pics of a building?

It really depends on the effect you're after. Light-overcast makes a nice, even light. Straight-up noon makes very few shadows. Sun-up/Sun-Set give some neat results - as would a long-exposure night picture. It just depends on what you want to do with it...

BTW - OSR 2 and OSR 2.5 were like what they call Service Packs today. They would have been like dot-level revisions. (I.e. Win 95 OSR 2 would have been like Win95.2, WIn 95 OSR 2.5 would have been like Win95.2.5 or Win95.3.)
