Thanks for the replies everyone. I did research the asrock board quite a bit and found that it was only a pciX4 not 16 slot. So I would probably upgrade the motherboard down the road if I went with new pci-express video card anyway. The reason I asked is that I don't want to spend more...

I have an HP L2000 which is a Turion with the chipset you mentioned. I am pretty sure that this chipset relies on shared memory with the system memory. I could be wrong, but I would be surprised for you to find a Express 200M w/ dedicated memory. I think "hypermemory" is just marketing speak...

How can I re-install XP Pro on a machine that already has SP2?

Are you in windows when your trying to start the install? You should be able to do what you want by booting from the xp cd. I would check out Autostreamer, and make your own slipstreamed sp2 disk, then start over with a formatted drive.

Just a guess, cause I didn't see anybody else mention it, do you need to load AGP (gart?) on that motherboard? I have seen other cards act like that if the AGP drivers are not loaded. Like I said just a guess. I am not familiar with that MB, but my GT is running great.
