    PC2100 is rated for 133mhz operation. At 3ghz, your FSB is 250. Even with a 3:2 (lowest possible ratio), the slowest the memory bus will be is 167. If your PC2100 can run stable at 167 then yes you can use it, otherwise no way.

    Stability issues arise at the overclock you have. Voltage doesn't help. Lowering speed helps for a little while, but it goes unstable in a relatively short period of time. Finally, stock speed becomes unstable. At that point, its pretty much toast. Too much voltage?
