Trouble with new build

It sounds like there is a problem with the onboard ethernet controller, probably a loose solder or something. I would probably just RMA the mobo.

7800gtx or new Mobo, case and Memory

I would just get a new video card and forget about the motherboard until you are ready to build an entire new system in a couple of years. 7800 GT should be able to play any game you want unless you are on some kind of 24" screen or something.

SCSI speed

Why not get an external enclosure annd run them all in RAID 5? That would be super duper fast and give you a little more safety than a plain raid 0.

Gaming Headphones

I currently have a set of Sennheiser HD590's and an X-Fi Xtrememusic, but no mic. I mostly play BF2. They sound pretty good with the 3D CMSS, but I am wondering if something like the Medusa 5.1's would sound better. Or would it be better to just get a Zalman Mic and add it to my current set...

Going from ATI to Nvidia

By the way, I recently went from a GF2 Pro to a Ti 4400, which had some hardware conflicts with my mobo's (msi k7t 266 pro-2 ru) raid controller and scsi controller (adaptec 19160). It was really weird, with the 4400, it would not see my scsi card, no matter which slot it was in if the raid...

Need Help Deciding on Case...

OK, here is the dilema...I just upgraded to SCSI 10K drives and an XP 1600+. Case is a generic Full tower w/ bad airflow. A real POS. Have a global win CAK38 that i modded by changing the fan out to a quiter YS tech. Anyway, temp stays nice and cool, 35 idle and 41-42 under full load...

Athlon XP - Which HSF is the best choice?

Taisol 74092 on Abit KT7 - anyone has one?

Cloning a hard drive in Windows 2000?

You need to get norton GHOST. It does exactly what you want. I think there may be a trial version for download, or, if you don't want to buy only ghost, it comes as a part of norton systemworks 2001, which does support win2k
