You guys oc'n a Gt to ultra speeds, what agp voltage are you using?

I was OCing my PNy with coolbits to 400/1006 and had no probs at all. So, 6800U isnt that ellusive from a 6800GT standpoint.

PNY Verto Geforce 6800GT for $340 plus tax

On most of the new GF cards, PNY warrantees for 1 year without product registration. If you register your card, the warranty extends to 3 years. I have never gotten a bad PNY product or had one crap out on me. Hence, not knowing the quality of other mfg, I usually buy PNY. Of course that's just me.

Memorex DVD+-R at Best Buy

Nice deal on the DVD-R's I was picking up a Wacom tablet and noticed these guys. Of course I had to pick em up at $1 a disk for 4x. Ive always used memorex for my DVD-Rs and had no probs, I guess Im lucky with the actual mfg of the disks.

Better to err on the side of caution when flashing a lighter under a $100 bill. Not only should he consider the things you mention, but about 3 -4 other factors you forgot to mention. Dont run the athlon wihtout a fan. Its just not good at all, unless you dont care if you scarifice a CPU.

I wouldnt suggest runing an athlon without a fan running unless you want to see it fry. Personally I think thats an unnecessary risk you are putting on the CPU. Check the thermal condition of your vid card, RAM, case Temp, and chipset. You could just have too much heat in your case and its...

Ive been using this drive for about 6 months and was a RMA. I never had any problems with it at all untill I partitioned it with W2K intall. When doing read/write tasks I can hear the Read/write heads popping back into reset and then the RW task starts back where it left off. Extremely annoying...

#1 your temps are fine...but if you want to lower them wihtout going berserk, ad a case fan or upgrade your case fan/air flow managment. #2 ECS board is a GREAT board, make sure you have PLENTY of power if you go 1.4, 350w +. 1.2 should use a similar PSU cause someones gonna have to upgrade...

Global Win CAK38 a bit loud, but worth the cooling, any 1.4 Tbird will run hot ....just a fact. my athlon 1.4 is at 44'C under full load.. used to be 38C but i had to change my comp room to up stairs.

I hope this isnt ugly , but check your CPU code for its FSB, or check the clock speed at boot up, you may be trying to OC a 100 FSB TBird to over 2G =p Just a thought I cant think of anything else it would be
