Thanks for the advice guys.. i think i'll listen to MustangSVT and stick to the v3 3k for now.. unless there is a hot deal for an MX for DDR ;) However, i'm still curious to find out if the MX will run games like NFS4 faster than the DDR (clock speed)

Besides Baldurs Gate, try Fallout, Fallout2, and Diablo 2 and PlaneScape: Torment. Also, watch out for Baldurs Gate 2, Pool of Radiance 2, Neverwinter Nights Icewind Dale and Ultima Online: 2
