Abit BD7-II RAID with 800MHz FSB & HT (possible?)

i thought so. just hoping someone would post a success story so i could convince myself to buy it. any cpu suggestions without changing my motherboard? doesn't look like i have much choice but to get a new board to make upgrading worth it to me.

My friend is having trouble getting a video signal to come out of his GeForce4 Ti4200 on the Epox 4G4A. When he disables the onboard VGA in the BIOS, the computer boots up but doesn't show any video coming out of the video card. Onboard video works still when it is enabled. Is there something...

Promise ATA-100 card, or on-board ATA-33 good enough?

Running ABIT BD7II at 166Mhz RAM ? (DRAM H/W Strap)

i've had success with this overclock. im running a 1.8A@2.4GHz now. my RAM is running at 178FSB or DDR 356. the RAM im using is one stick of corsair XMS 512MB pc2700, so it runs at cas2....not sure if its a must to have very high quality RAM but i wanted the best latency timings i could run at.

usually if there was a difference, it would be something that would be pointed out alot in articles. but i don't remember reading anything explaining what DDR-II is, tho i know what dual channel DDR does. can someone clarify?

actually i think just putting DECIMAL automatically makes it accurate to two decimal places....it'll just disregard the =number part i guess

put DIV=1000 inside to turn MB into GB. then add DECIMAL=* and put any number you want. It seems no matter what number i put it'll only show 2 decimal places, even if i put in a 0 or 1 or 3, etc. but if DECIMAL= isn't there it'll just show a whole number rounded down.

yeah...i pretty much gave up trying to repair my old installation. guess it was about time to do a fresh install anyway (least that's what i keep telling myself). the problem with Windows installation was because i wasn't pressing F6 and loading the latest Highpoint drivers. good tip for anyone...

im running off of my original XP install on a 60GXP running off of a Promise ATA100 controller in a PCI slot. i tried using partition magic to copy my WinXP and programs partition onto my RAID array (2 x WD1200JB). When i choose to boot off of the RAID i get a 'page fault in non-pagefile' BSOD...

512MB of Crucial Memory for Asus A7V266-E for $122

is it worth it to still buy PC2100 if im buying it for a system that'll probably be a Hammer system (or perhaps a T-bred if the hammer takes too long)? do we know what FSB the hammer will be running yet? the T-bred will still be 266 DDR.....and the performance of memory at 166 and CPU at 133...
