AMD ATHLON XP 2000+ Cheap!!

According to what I heard from two AMD reps last week, the prices dropped to make room for the 2600 and 2800, and the MP prices dropped this week in anticipation of Hammer... But they may have been blowing smoke at me, because I build systems and that's what I wanted to hear... ;D

By the way, I have a big box full of 140W power supplies. I ripped them from small minitowers with MicroATX mobos when we assimilated another company. The PSs are OK, but I chose to move the guts to Enlight 300W case/PS, ditching the old cases. I kept the PS's, unsure of the landfill problems...

Just received K7T266 Pro with 1.4 Ghz & 256 MB - I hope my power supply can handle this board so I can start SETI with it!

question - running dnet client while burning cd's ok?

Running HP 12x at work on AMD TBird 800 with Nero 5.5, no probs. If in doubt, right-click on cow and select PAUSE, then RESUME when burn is complete! But, don't forget to resume!!! ;)
