Newer wireless keyboards??

um, the basic logitech one is not that new, but pretty good, my roommate has one, its supposed to have a range of I forget much but it works past that- I'd say at 15 feet I've never had a problem

Sure! Actually thats a pretty general question, some more specific ones would be nice- you can start by reading some of Anand's articles, there are tons of reviews that discuss the advantages/disadvantages of many CPUs and motherboards and other stuff. An excellent place to start is the buyers...

Have you ever fixed something without knowing what you did?

One time a few months ago somthing got messed up on my boot HDD and because the FAT32 was damaged scandisk couldn't locate the backup FAT32 file so I could boot off a floppy but even after a cold boot it would get hung up on scandisk. That started at like 10 and finally at like 3 am I went to...

Is there anyway to bring computer media to a television screen? W/ same amount of quality?

you're pretty much limited to a scan convertor(search threads) or the TV out on your graphics card in either case, most TVs can only display somthing like 640x480 res, and maybe 800x600 sorta interpolated. basically tv is relatively low resolution (but good color though). With a higher end TV...

Genius son...

anyone ever try putting a light bulb in a microwave? Its supposed to be pretty cool. My chem 109 prof said to try it "but not in your parents' microwaves, they won't be to happy if you fry it for them" But I guess the bulb is supposed to light up, not just spark like shiny metal...

Brigtness trouble

just checking to make sure, did you play with the brightness controll on the vid card drivers(display settings)? I'm not sure why the desktop looks fine and fullscreen does not, but on my comp DVDs looked really dark, there was a controll for video overlay brighness or somthing in detonator...

How do I copy files/apps from old HD to new system ?

you're gonna have to do a fresh install of all your apps, your new system needs its own registry etc you could put the old HDD in the new system as a slave, and drag and drop documents and graphics and stuff to the new drive I know its a pain, but trying to copy apps that are already installed...

Adding USB support to a 2 year old computer

what os are you using? win 95 it can be difficult, no -true- USB support, 98/me/2k should work fine and yeah, I think a PCI card with 2 USB ports on it is like $20 or less

2 monitors listed in device manager???

I don't know why, but when you update gfx card drivers, other gfx drivers(monitor) often have to be reinstalled. I'm not sure why win also installs drivers for default monitor, but if it isn't causing any probs, leave both there, it shouldn't cause trouble, but at least then it won;t reinstall...

Sound Card Selection Advice Requested

I've had problems in the past too with SBLive and IRQ, I think that the reason for the problem is backwards compatibility. That is, in order for the card to work easilly with old software(very old, like MS-DOS games), the card likes to grab certain system resources that used to be default sound...
