I am a wooter and I wooted some Ty Caton wine. They are giving a discount to Wooters and I went to this page:
http://www.tycaton.com/wooter.html
Clicked the "Add Wines" button and I am taken to:
http://scart.vom.com/cgi-bin/cart32.exe/tycaton-AddItem
which is 404ing. I contacted Ty...
Is that Visual Basic .NET or Old School VB6?
If it's old school VB6 then do C++.
If it's VB .NET you might want to do that since it will get you exposed to the .NET Framework, Visual Studio, ADO. NET, etc. C# is and easy conversion from C# .NET.
You can use MONO on linux to code .net...
Looks to me like you can use a split on "
That is '" ' (The space is included)
That will leave you with:
"Cheney
"Marshall
7
But then you have to clean it up...
Maybe get the 2 index locations of '" ' and then sub string it.
fname = str.substring(1, locationOfFirstDelim)...
I would check for ait flow like Peter said. Heat makes stuff go crazy. I have also had caps blow but my results with that have been everything not working, not just acting flaky.
I had that happen to a site I am hosting (didn't write) in CF. ha, it's a freakin mess and a half. They are like "Fix it!"... yeah... ummm 10000+ CFM pages.. I'll get right on that. Always use parameterized queries from code and always use stored procs.
Just got back from vegas a few weeks ago (4th trip :-P ) I am in the same boat as you, cheap table, have some fun. OLD VEGAS (Freemont Street) is where you want to go.
It's a long shot BUT did you put raisers on the mother board? If the solder pins on the bottom of the motherboard are touching the case it will not start up.
I found this one that I might go with instead:

I am thinking of getting this and running server 2003 on it. Just as a home dev server. I will add some drives for additional storage.. maybe another 512 of ram. What do you guys think?
I am going from a Hyper Threaded P4 3.20Ghz to a AMD Athlon X2 3800+ with the Manchester Core.
I found this link: http://www.cpubenchmark.net/index.php which has some comparisons but I wanted some of your thoughts.
I haven't built a PC in a long while and I am trying to get back into the...
I would go with Dell. At this point in time I only build custom PCs for myself, my family, friends and select home customers. Most businesses have the money to spend. It's amazing how they try to always be cheap on the equipment that RUNS THEIR BUSINESS. I got sick of the headaches. In...
I have positions open at 2 companies I do work for.
The first one is a C#/VB .NET Winform Insurance Application with SQL 2000 backend. This is in Melville, NY.
The second one is a Classic ASP/VB6/ASP .NET/C# .NET Online Web Based Financial application for a large bank. I am currently...
Don't expect too much from teachers and you won't be let down. Whatever you do, get a teacher who was/is in the field and teachers at night or is retired. I had some retired IBMers and they were outstanding!
I use windows and I am a HUGE Microsoft fan. However, I have used Linux and I have no idea what you are talking about. Go download the new version of Fedora, install it (using the graphical version if you like) and run it. You will find it works well, detects most hardware and has a great GUI.
I made rules. Family and my direct friends only. Not friends of friends, not family friends. It just becomes too much. On top of it, most of the people I help have no useful skill that I will ever need.... so the favor never comes back around. :-(
How much do you drive? Might be better off with a lease until you get through college. You can probably get something for $200 a month and not have maintenance or anything to do to it. Should be able to swing 200 with a simple job in school. Heck, your first year is already paid for.
Same positions available! Also have a new one in Brooklyn, NY. It is a business management position. The company looking is in the satellite TV distribution business. The owner has let me know that they are looking to fill immediately. There is A LOT of room for growth. Very successful...
