Win2000 Pro, A7M266, and V7700

I tell you i'm so frustrated right now, i could scream. :disgust: Im runnin a AMD Thunderbird-c 1.2ghz, on a Asus A7M266, with 256megs PC2100 memory, a Asus V7700 (Ge Force 2 GTS 32m) and SB Live! Value. Whenever i try to play a game, or sometimes even watching video, my rig locks up...

Win98 Boot Disk

I need to install Win98 on my computer, as I am having some problems with Win2K. Unfortunatly, I do not have a Win98 boot disk, and neither do any of my friends. Can somebody send me a ZIP file possible of a Win98 boot disk?

CDROM with Asus A7M266

Anybody know if the A7M266 is supposed to come with a driver cdrom? I've always bought Asus mobos (3-4 different ones) and they've always had a cd in it. This one didn't, and Win2K doesn't seem to recognize the IDE controllers as the Ultra DMA100 compatible.

Win2000 Freeze up problem

Just an update for those who help me... I've pulled out the Asus v6800 card, and replaced it with a Matrox G200 AGP card I had laying around... Still no go. And for a side note, It has become increasingly difficult to even get the computer to turn on, without making beeping sounds at me, and...

Does anyone know if the vmware people are going to bring Direct X support to vmware? I would love to be able to windows under linux, and still be able to play games.

Win2K Blue Screen Error Message

Hurm. Well I've already tried pulling all the add-in cards except the video card. I've also deleted the partiions, and created a new one. Could the motherboard have gone bad? This was/has never been a problem before when he installed/ran Win2K
