Networking different language win98 OS

Although I haven't tested this, but TCP/IP is TCP/IP no matter what language your OS is. So from my networking understanding OS language should have no barriers whatsoever, especially if you'll be networking the same OS.

what to choose for wireless between two building ?

Ouch ... why do you want to network over two buildings? do you have a buddy you wonna network with? or is this more of a business issue? OR do you want to network the whole building? if its the whole building go with microwave :)

Hot summer days and hot t-birds .. A7V133 w/ 1.333mhz

Ok this is the deal, with all the talk of hot cpu temps I've decided to dig a little deaper and see what temp readings people get with a A7V133 & a t-bird 1.333mhz not o/c with a Globalwin CAK-38 HSF. currently I'm running at 44-46c at normal load and can hit 50-54c heavy load on a hot day...

1 GHz running at 60 C - EDIT: Down to 38 C !

Well I like my globalwin CAK-38 HSF... it's a all copper heat sink with a delta fan on it which seems to work well. Alot of people rave about siftech HSF, but they are hard to get ahold of, very big and very heavy.

1 GHz running at 60 C - EDIT: Down to 38 C !

I've been told by a friend of mine that 1000mhz t-birds run hotter then most. If i was you I would get a better HSF like a globalwin or swiftech and use some artic silver ][ .Make sure you have at least 2 fans inside you box not inculding power supply fan.

1.33 running too high of temp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would not worrie to much, I'm running a 1.333 t-bird with a globalwin cak-38 hsf & A7V133 mb and I'm hitting 44-45c at idle and 50 - 51c at near fullload! stable for me, no problems. Keep in mind the 1.333 t-birds are rated at 95c !! from what I've heard you should not worrie till it gets...

A7V133 or EP-8KTA3 or ???? which would you get?

DDR big deal ! so what you get an extra 10% in speed ! I'm running a A7V133 with a 1.333 t-bird and it runs great ! At this time I feel it is not worth the extra coin for the MB and ram when a board like the A7V133 is still a strong contender.

ASUS A7V133 questions

I would agree the A7V133 is a very nice MB to use. I'm currently running a 1.333 t-bird and it runs very nice ! PC133 is the way to go with this MB.... hell you can get 512ram these days for less then $200cnd

DansData reviewed 33 heatsinks here's what he recommends.

I would have to agree.... The CAK-38 is a nice HSF ! Little on the heavy side and it is to bad that it only clips on to the middle clips, which makes me worrie seeing that its' 510g

What is the best heatsink for a chip running at 1.5ghz+

I still like my Gobalwin CAK-38, it's a nice chunk of copper :) t-bird 1.333mhz at 44-46c (depends on room temp) and 50-52c at full load (depends on room temp)

I would agree the N650 is a nice scanner. It comes with a Z-top lid which makes scanning those big text books easy as pie.

Cooling performance gains from a GlobalWin CAK 38

I've been using the CAK-38 for little over a week now. Not a bad HSF, little on the heavy side (510g). I've seem to be running at 44c normal load and 50c on heavy load with my t-bird 1.333 on a A7V133 board (but we all know that ASUS board can read temp for $hit. If you do get this one you may...

I'm running a GlobalWin CAK-38 on a AV7133 with a 1.333 t-bird and I'm hitting around 44c normal load and 50c at full load... So i think all is well for you.

I have a GlobalWin CAK-38.... little heavy (510g) buts works ok... pure copper heat sink with a delta fan. Mind you I'm still hitting 50c with my 1.333 t-bird at full load.

Home movie recording, editing and combining?

I believe Media studio has more utilities, for animation and that sorts of things. Video studio is strickly for video editing, and i believe the latest edition comes with a DVD feature where you can make your own DVD movies on DVD or CD

I have used Premiere 6 and it is complicated, but I got my hands on Ulead Video Studio 5 and i accomplished more in less time with it ... as for firewire on your CAM ... good luck .. can't help you in that dept.

I'm running an AV7133 Bios ver1005 2 Quantum fireballs AS drives 40 & 60gig Geforce2 gts 32meg 512ram 1 burner 1 dvd rom I'm hitting around 50c sometimes 51c at near full load and 44c low load with a Gobalwin CAK-38 heat sink... So i feel your pain ! I can't get it any lower that.. I...

Asus A7A266 *cooling*

I had the same kind of issues with that board and case. It seems to be noramal (or so I'm told) to run at that temp. I was running my A7A266 board and 1.333 at 49c at full load, 45-46c at low load. Made the mistake of replacing the fan and broke the clip on the board and switched to a AV7133...

Stability Question; Which mobo is closest to headache free?

I would go for the A7V133 even if you don't use the raid. It's nice to have 4 drives and have all 4 on there own cable. The performance is not bad as well. The via chipset is more stable then the Ali chipset. I've ran a A7A266 and this board with the same cpu (T-bird 1333) and I think i like the...

Globalwin Cak-38 heat sink.

I was reading some tech stuff on AMD's web page and could not really see what the Max heatsink weight is for an 1.333mhz. Does anyone know ? should I be concerned about my Globalwin CAK-38 at 510g be to heavy for my poor cpu? btw: if anyone else has this heat sink and same speed cpu please...

what is the best heatsink for an athlon

You know I bought the AVA266 and AMD 1.333, had a Super mini orb on it and my CPU was running a little warm. When I bought a Globalwin CAK-38 and tried to install it broke the damn clip when removing the old fan (real smart eh?). Went and bought a AV7133 and find the board works better overall...
