Can you write Norton Ghost image files to NTFS partitions?

DMA in Win2k

I had that happen as well with a CDROM and Zip drive on the secondary channel. The CDROM wouldn't read as anything other than PIO when the Zip was slaved to it (in BIOS it was set for UDMA 2). It seemed to solve itself when I removed the Zip drive from the channel, rebooted with only the CDROM...

CDRW on a Maxtor ATA100 PCI Card

Have the 80 pin ATA 66/100 cables. I have the latest BIOS for the MoB and I usually set the Zip drive in the BIOS to None (or have tried the Zip setting) which seems to work best. I think the problems I saw before were due to the HD failing....but I'll hook this all up tomorrow and see. Thanks

Does the A7M266 support in BIOS multiplier adjustments? Or do you have to solder on the dip switches?

As of the current BIOS on Asus' site (I think it's A7m266 1003) it does not support soft adjustment of the clock multiplier. I have read somewhere that Asus told one reviewer that they planned on incorporating that feature into a future BIOS update, but there has been no set ETA for this.

ATA 100 Hard Disk problem

There is also a hot-fix on Microsoft's site (if you trust their hotfixes) that will temporarily fix Win2000 not running ATA 100 drives at ATA 100....it's hotfix Q260233 (Support for ATA (Mode 5) in Windows 2000). I haven't set up my new board/system yet to try this, but I shold have it running...

Thanks again for the answers.... Now I just have to determine how to REJOIN the L1 bridges....they were joined then the connections (and underlying ceramic) were what appears to be factory cut. Have to look at the chip again and the extent of the slices....it may be possible with a very FINE...
