Anybody know if I can use this pc card without using the "pigtails" I don't know what they are, and sure don't want anything to stick out from my laptop. Does the pc card actually go all the way in to the laptop pc slot?
Anyone else have dead pixel? I have one dead pixel that can be seen in dark conditions. Also the beeping sound of the camera is inconsistent, sometimes extremely high, sounds like the "speaker" is bad. Otherwise this camera is awesome.

The RX5000 does not have an altimeter, only the RX5010 have (a slightly higher model). All the ones being sold on buy.com for 29.99 is the one without altimeter.
The compass is pretty good, it's nice to know which way you're going. I've also had many alarms go off on the X, K, and Ka bands, with mostly X bands. I also got one of those VG-2 signals that hides my detector from the cops. Overall, I think it's worth it just to have something on my dash...
