8800gts 320 vs 640 and future proofing

So, when the question of "should I get a 320MB or a 640MB 8800GTS" comes up, the resolution of the display device seems to be discussed more than anything. Clearly, the extra memory benefits those running at higher resolutions. For me, I'm on a 1280x1040 currently, so the decision is pretty...

glasses to reduce eye stress

DO NOT buy perscrpition glasses with "anti glare" coating on them unelss you get the good stuff...the crappy stuff scratches so easily it will trash your glasses in a couple of months. Cryzal and Cryzal Elise are both fantastic. I prefer the Elise, it is a little more expensive, but smudge...

Spacecomber, I have seen no corruption when I've got the cover off and a house fan blowing into the case. I need to test it more exaustivley, but after a few repeated runs of 3d mark, the temps seemed to top out around 60C...that tends to lead me to believe it's not an issue with the contact...

Nope. Never have, either. That said, I have had some cooling problems with the case...it's one of those Aspire XDreamer IIs that Newegg sells. It doesn't have a front or a rear case fan--being a mid tower, it is quite cramped between the HDs and the video board, and the video board fan faces...

Nope, all is still not well. I do have cooling issues with my case, so I'm not ready to rule out temps. For me, this is a ton of corruption, not just a little bit. I think it would be wise if I re-installed the OS, but I am very close to sending it in...anyone else have any thoughts?

Top Ten FPS Games PC

Halflife 2 is a must (as is the original, if you have never played it, even if it is dated)... Quake 3 (dated as well) is my favorite engine--for mutliplayer, I don't think it's been equaled yet. Painkiller -- the game is downright stupid, but it looks great and it has the twitch...closest...

I'm thinking about purchasing this card as well--Is the weight an issue? I do haul my box around to lan parties a few times per year...I don't have any retention mechanism in my case aside from the AGP slot lock and the screw--am I going to be OK with this board?

It's a big issue that simply doesn't get enough attention paid to it. The first time I played Halflife 2 (not realizing that you had to set the refresh rate on the command line within steam), I got so sick I couln't even walk straight. I wish developers and the video board makers would pay...

There doesn't seem to be a ton of reviews on the 19" sub-$400 gaming LCDs, do you guys have favorites? I was almost ready to pull the trigger on this a couple of months ago and buy the ImageQuest L90D+. I'm slightly more weary of that display after seeing some of the problems the Hot Dealers...
