How do I access the KDE desktop from the command line in Linux?

log in as su. mcedit etc/inittab change default from 3 to 5. or back to 3 to boot to command line.

Best way to share cable modem connection??

Chupa, You would have to set it up dedicated. Dig that old PC out of the closet. FreeSCO will run on a 486/16mb ram, 2 nics and a floppy drive, no harddrive, no cdrom. You set a good password and nobody can mess with it. Once setup, it's rock solid and maint. free. Show Mom the halt/reboot...

Best way to share cable modem connection??

Hi Energenie, Save your money:), if you have the hardware already. I have an old amd233, 1gb hd, setup as a router/printserver only. I'm using Freesco and the new Mandrake Single Network Firewall. Freesco, will run off a floppy and a 486, but i made a 64 mb dos primary partition with dos system...

Sprint Broadband and Netgear Switched Router

Can I use my router with Sprint Broadband? Have two pc's and a large printer with it's own nic behind router. Can I share connection between pc's? Sprint modem uses crossover cable to connect to one pc ie. (default setup provided). Is anyone else sharing Sprint?
