New 800mhz CPU's? When?

Can we expect the new 800mhz bus speed CPU's to launch around the same time Canterwood does? I haven't heard much about a launch date, the new Intel speed king will be 3.2ghz correct? I'm sure AMD will follow with a 3200+ to counter it.

When is the NV35 Due?

Yeah I'm surprised as well with the lack of speculations, I know it's not a totally new part but just an optimized version of the existing solution with a 256-bit memory interface hopefully and a quieter cooling solution.

LCD info needed!! Need ideas in a price range...

SnowMan is right, you'll have to catch a really good deal for a 17 inch model. You might also want to pay attention to their return policy, some manufacturers will only accept LCD's a high number of dead pixels. I think NewEgg.Com policy is 8? I could be wrong though... You might want to...

Dell UltraSharp 2000FP LCD

Been great for me, I've played Unreal II & Tournament, C&C generals, Quake III, Nascar Racing, etc. No problems, no ghosting. I use the DVI interface on a TI 4200.

How to find Processor Speed Win98se?

Besides the BIOS and MSINFO32, is there another way that accurately reports what your processor speed is? MSINFO32 doesn't reveal the processor speed, just the type.

Problems With DVI Help!!!

Hi Anu76, on my Dell LCD when I use DVI the LCD automatically centers and sets the refresh rates. My controls are locked as well, it may be a function of the DVI interface?

LCD's and dead pixels?

I have a Dell 2000fp LCD, it came with 3 always on pixels. If I leave an all white screen up for 10 minutes they go off. Dell's policy is 6 or more pixels to replace your LCD.

Opinion on Dell 2000FP

I use this monitor as my gaming monitor with a PIII 733 and a TI 4200 GeForce 4 with the DVI connection. Because of system limitations I run most of the new games at 800x600 or 1024x768. Even though that's not the best resolution for this LCD it still looks good. I have played 1942, UT2003...

DVI with LCD screen quality?

Yeah what SXR7171 said!!! I was using my 2000FP with an old GeForce2 for 6 months then I got a Ti4200 and started using the DVI connection. Big time difference in the clarity. If you have a quality LCD you should be able to see a positive difference using your DVI connection. I can't wait...

I sure hope it's not $500, I believe NVIDIA would be shooting themselves in the foot. I believe they need to come out plus or minus ten dollars to the high end ATI card. I can understand an overblown price initially while the retail channel is filling but after that they better be the same...

Why does my computer just plain suck???

Beat me to it JasonFfart, I was going to suggest the same thing. If you are running Win98 dump it for XP-SP1. I have a 733mhz with 512 Ram and upgrading to XP-SP1 fixed a lot of gaming issues for me earlier this year.

DVI quality improvment?

I saw a marked improvement in my Dell 2000FP LCD switching from Analog to DVI, the colors and whites were much cleaner and sharp with the DVI connection. Age of Mythology blue water really jumps out now.

What is the ethernet card on the Laser printer for ?

Maybe flash the firmware on the DVD-rom if that's possible? During the delay, does the DVD activity light come on? Maybe there's a BIOS update for your motherboard? The last thing I can think of trying is to manually input the drive info into the BIOS instead of using the auto-detect feature...

Help me decide on a videocard!

If it's a "must have" by tomorrow thing, go with the 9700. If you can wait a bit prices may drop as Christmas gets closer, who knows maybe the GeForce FX may pop up in limited numbers.

TV out to 32" widescreen TV

Another vote for ATI, I spec'd out a HTPC for someone 3 months ago and recommended the AIW card. He outputs to an overhead HDTV projector but for now doesn't want HDTV. ATI works great, we used the AIW 7500.

S-Video vs. Component

Blurry display with 40.72 and LCD

I had the same problem Boomerang. For some reason when I installed these the drivers reset the refresh rate on all my available resolutions to 60. Bumped it up to 72 and that cleared up my LCD. I noticed it on text.
