Bare minimum requirements for a server ONLY sharing internet access?

I have to agree with Wik and say go with FreeSCO. Right now, I have it running on an old Compaq 486/50 with 16 meg of ram and an even older 80 meg hard drive. With FreeSCO, even the hard drive isn't necessary(but it is nice); you only need a floppy. You only need a monitor and keyboard for...

No Suspend option in Win2K?

There is a suspend option in Win2K. Unfortunately, the only way to have it is if your running Win2K in ACPI mode, not APM.

Site to determine broadband options?

I'm planning on moving to the Lansing/East Lansing area in Michigan in a few weeks, and I'm having trouble determining if I have any cable or DSL access available in the new area. Is there a one stop site to determine this? Or, does anyone here actually live there and know of any options?

win 2k and sound blaster live value!

If you're using the drivers included with Windows 2000, then no, they don't support the rear channel of the Live. You'll need to download the Liveware drivers from Creative's site to enable them. I wish you good luck with this card. Creative still desperately needs to upgrade the Win 2K...

Moving Win2K from dual to single processor - Help?

I just bought a nice 950mhz Duron and Abit KT7 from the Overclockerz Store. I'm currently running Win2K on an Abit BP6 with dual Celerons. Is there any way I can keep my current install of Win2K, or am I going to have to install everything all over again? I've got a lot of stuff on here now...

Best PC Pinball Game?

I've been feeling the urge to play pinball again, and I'd like to get some opinions as to what the best pinball games are for the PC. I just dug out my old Amiga last night, and I had a great time playing Pinball Dreams. Too bad I had to play on a 13" monitor, though.
