If I had to guess they went over their bandwidth quota and have been locked out by a system administrator. This did get posted on Slashdot, that seems to have a negative effect on peoples webpages.

Slow RC5 Performance in Linux

Out of curiousity are you using Nautilus? I have the same problem under the Mandrake install of Gnome. Seems Nautilus uses "idle" time to reindex your hard drive over and over again. Try either logging out when you are not using the machine or switching over to KDE.

I have to agree with OK here. If you are just looking for a webserver in your internal network. Set up a webserver ( apache, IIS, Ethan's WWW server, whatever). Use some nice non-routable IP addresses for your internal network and use IP masq on a router to proxy your internet access. You can...

dnetc only uses IDLE.... HA!

Win2000 Server Help Needed.

It might be that you have DNS running on your server but the client machines don't know it. Try adding them to your hosts file and see if that helps.

Whats up with the round robin?

The round robin is just a set of pproxies that are randomly selected when you lookup proxy.teamanandtech.com. Each one of those proxies flushes up to Mika's proxy ( core.teamanandtech.com ) Which in turn flushes to dnet. The proxy23.teamanandtech.com dns name only includes those proxies that...

OT: Deal on a dual slot 1 mobo.... for crack racks?

Has Intel actually released a P3 faster than a 1Ghz? I know that they released the 1.133 about a year about and had to recall it. To answer the question at hand I know that Intel makes up to a 1ghz P3 on a 100mhz fsb... Not that I have any or anything like that. But i have seen them around.

simple? linux questions

PF two questions, first, did you get this working yet? and second what linux distro/version are you using? You are aware that the linux2.4 netfilter supports the older syntax for 2.2ipchains right? (Hint it is a configure option for the kernel.)

There is only one kind of pproxy, the one put out by dnet. There are a plethora of pproxy stats programs out there, several of the better ones being available from dnetc "3d party applications" downloads.

Ack what'd I do to my RT314? Kinda working now..

Might I suggest the age old, dont worry about it and go grab a couple beers solution? I would suggest that you reset it and unplug it for a while. Then come back in a couple hours ( after the beers ) and see if it works... read the warrantee and see if the hammer method works?

Anyone tried to recompile Eccp-109 client?

Optomization wise? GCC is tops ;) Codewarrior follows and MS VC6 is at the bottom by a good margin. As far as IDE's are concerned, im partial to CodeWarrior then Visual C++, and well there are so many different visual front ends for gcc ( including Codewarrior ) I wont even get into that.

And if you are wondering about the syntax for cron here ya go, Minute Hour DayofMonth Month DayofWeek command so 0 0 * * 0 /usr/sbin/mapupdate will run the mapupdate command at midnight on sunday. So on etc.. You can also comma delimit fields, 0,10,20,30,40,50 * * * *...

at the top of your perl script there should be something that looks like #!/usr/bin/perl just tells the os what to use to execute the code. If your talking about in apache you might want to add something that looks like AddType application/x-httpd-cgi .cgi .pl but really with the ppstats you...

Poof no biggie but the IPX was a 40mhz machine. It was also a sun4c processor. The Server in question here was a 50mhz sun4m. Same kinda as a classic or lx.

We have a couple hundred microSparc 50Mhz machines at work. I'll run in there this afternoon and load up some benchmarks. edit: Just wanted to add that from what I have seen the sun4c and sun4m processors are horribly at rc5, I dont know about seti though.
