Thanks for the heads up. I managed to get two of these on Sunday. (1200's) There were at least two more left on shelf in Palm Beach Gardens store, but today they are gone according to store staff. I am kicking myself for not buying 4 instead of just 2. BTW they did mangle to store pickup...
Just got back from the Palm Beach Gardens, Florida BB. The item was on the shelf for 199 and scanned at that price. I told the salesperson about the sale price and he checked online and it showed as 199 on the web page he displayed. So I come in to work, fire up my browser and there it is on...

I am considering buying this device to back up some home movies to hd then rip them and compress with mpeg4. Has anyone use this and would you recommend it?? Does it have any shortcomings as far as encoding format sizes and speed? Any info appreciated!
