Any AMD-64 w/ pCI-E?

Are there any 754/939 (preferably 939) that have PCI-e yet? I'd like to purchase the K8NXP-9 but dont see it available anywhere yet.... Any ideas on when NF4 solutions will be available?

Comp Geeks has the 1000'ft cat5e cable kit in stock again the stupidly low price of $43.15+shipping

I got a box of this last time it was around and luckily compgeeks warehouse is only about 30minutes from my house so i went to pick it up. The crimper and tester are nice but the cable definitely not top quality. it seems to work fine but just feels cheaper than others. Also the "white+stripe"...

4 pipes = normal drivers 8 pipes = hacked drivers wizzard's page has drivers that just change the memory to 256bit and dont change the pipes, this shouldnt produce artifacts.

3dmark score doesnt matter because it is based on processor speed and other things as well. Look at the fillrates of single and multi-texturing after 3dmark is finsihed, what are they at?

aaah could you revert to the old post/thread folder icons?

These are better than the first set (the ones that looked like Windows3.1) I still liked the old ones but i guess these will do :)

It looks like the new fusetalk bombed the folder icons back to windows 3.1. I dont know what it is about them, and i don't really remember what the old ones look like but these are definitely not good. I dont really care about the smilies and stuff but the folder/post icons are all over the place.

I have this router, it is way better than the linksys ones. Update the firmware and drivers and you can actually get over 11mbps when all of the other wireless equipment gets more like 5-6mbps

Yea, he should've tested the LAN speeds because there is no reason that internet speeds would be slower on a faster medium if the LAN speeds were indeed faster. Also, at the end he mentions "Wireless Protected Access." All of the products i have seen promise this as a firmware upgrade...

that article is good but has some misinformation. It seems a little discouraging about getting 11g now but almost all vendors are promising (that i have seen) 11g final upgrades as soon as it comes out. Updating firmware is not something that is really hard to do. He makes the task sound...

Actually it is at a stage now where the standard CANT change enough to require a silicon change. Therefore any changes could be updated with firmware. And the post below mine, 802.11g and 802.11a arent proprietary. That is why they are IEEE standards (or on their way). 802.11g is backwards...

8mb vs 2mb cache on 80gig drive?

I purchased the 120GB 8mb version :) It has been 2+ years since i bought a hard drive so i figure i can splurge a little bit. Plus, it was only about $40 more than the 80gb version.

I already have the 80GB 2mb one in my posession so i've decided if they will take it back without a restocking fee then i will get the 120GB 8mb one. If they will charge me 15% then im just going to keep the 80GB 2mb

8mb vs 2mb cache on 80gig drive?

Is it worth the $25 extra to get 8mb cache over 2mb? I dont even know if it would affect the performance that much for me.... What are situations in which this might help? A lot of smaller bursts? Give me your opinion and whether or not it is worth it. Thanks

Can CPU Cool damage HARDWARE? (real case)

It doesnt seem possible for a software cooling program to do this. They all basically work the same way by halting the processor during its idle state. Performance is not usually affected, but if it is it wont just make the video card stop working.
