i live in cali and have my mmj license, not a thing has changed, none of the dispensaries i visit have been shut down, business is booming, new ones are opening up on every corner. many areas here have 2 in a shopping center

I am a contractor so costs will be budgeted accordingly, just not very familiar with doing remodeling work..... maybe i will try to run cat5 to a central location in all the rooms i'm opening the walls in...

Buying a 1970's home (currently in escrow), needs some work especially cosmetically but I would like to make the home energy efficient and try to add some cool features without spending TOOOOO much $$ I plan on redoing all flooring, replace windows with dual pane, paint/wallpaper all walls...

2" hole in outside stucco wall, what to patch it with?

you can use silicone caulking or pre-mixed stucco patch compound....both available at any home depot etc just make sure you clean and wet the area thoroughly before you patch

Another reason why I will NEVER buy a house that's under a Homeowner Association

meh, I've set up 16 HOA's for small communities (smallest of 6 homes up to 22 homes) and they work best for these type of communities. When it's small enough you and your neighbors directly control what can be done and cant and how your money is spent. However in this case I don't see...

What to do with utility accounts when renting out a house

i have multiple rental properties in CA. What i do is inform the tenants that they need to setup all utilities in their name by X date. and I also call the utility companies to cancel my utilities by X date. I also provide all utility contact numbers for the tenant to make it easy.

Saw Drive last night. Good acting, good story, movie had great potential. For me the pacing of the movie reallllllllly threw it off and made it difficult to watch. Was definitely entertaining but IMO it could have been MUCH better. 6.5/10
