I went a similar route, but am worried the adapter will add too much length to the back of the card. This machine sits in an enclosed cabinet w/out much extra room.

Was on sale for $75 and I feel is loaded with features and is very stable! I'm running an i7-7700 (non-K) so no comment on OCing.
Runs 4x8gb G.Skill at XMP profile 2400 with NO issues! I like the 65w...

Just bought a bunch of Philips LED's from Home Depot last weekend.
The prices are very good on the Candelabra Base LED Light Bulb (3-Pack). Even at 40W Equivalent they did a nice job replacing 60W incandescents.

Now they ruined Windows Live Mail! Claim it needs a patch to continue running but eventually says you will have to go to 8 or 10 to use that mail client. F them.
When Windows decided a teenagers phone was more important than an adults computer, they lost me. Win10 is better (than 8), but it's still a teens toy. Apps, tiles and the general UI suck for getting anything done.
Now Microsoft wants to take Windows Live Mail away from Win7 users. Why?? They...
Axiom - 12GB (3x4gb) DDR3 ECC SDRAM Memory Module
@ Best Buy
I have never seen a 12gb stick of memory. Price seems right. Pic seems to show MT memory chips. Do boards support this?
OK, It's 3x4gb and ECC.
Comments??
Not necessary to worry about. If a bad or questionable deal is posted, members can be smart and steer clear as well as warn and help each other with their post. It's not a problem on the two biggest deals sites on the internet.
It's time to allow eBay deals in hot deals. MANY big stores sell on eBay, and I find myself on other deal sites to find these deals.
The old reasons to not allow eBay links don't really apply now, and Anandtech is not keeping up with current times. The Deals forum is a shell of its former...
I agree with the above posters. Get a full blown SSD.
But, to answer your original question: I'd go SSHD over raid. It's easy and you get most or all of the benefits of raid.
Me, I'm a sucker for a little explanation.
OP, I'd let the Windows Experience Index help guide you. Pop the card in and compare the scores.
Report back!
Funny thing is, since the monitor wouldn't power down, I shut it off before leaving work. Well the next day that 6-7 year old monitor wouldn't turn back on. It plain died.
I bought a new monitor. It does the same thing!!
Wonder if there is an access panel on the bottom? My latest Acer laptop had to be completely disassembled to install memory on the bottom of the motherboard. No hdd access either. I hate Acer for this!
