Im using a mic for counterstrike, and i have to go and unmute my mic so i can use it in game... problem is, ill get massive feedback and then i have to use headphones to use my mic.
Is there a way that i can use my mic AND my speakers at the same time?
i still have it set in 5.1 speaker setup...
basically, it sounds like my center channel is nearly non existent :-(
Went through the control panel, made sure the volume wasnt down on the center channel wasnt down, made sure the sb wasnt doing the decoding...nothing helps....
What is the metal piece on my mouse port (or keyboard, not looking at the port right now) that pops up over it? Its not connected to the port and its easily bendable... what is it and what is its purpose? Can i remove it?

If i recall correctly, there are two seperate lasers that read a dvd and a seperate one for cd.
its possible for one to be dirty and not focus... If you are using a cdr, then it has to be a stronger lazer to read properly... It sounds like im talking out of my...

I was cleaning out the dust bunnies and such out of my case last night. eventually, i took off the heatsink/fan combo (alpha pal 6035) and cleaned that out too. Well, to my great sadness, my computer wont post anymore. The green light goes on on the motherboard, the lights come on...
its possible, but more trouble than its worth.
Quick explanation... most recordable dvds are of the 4.7 gig variety. Some of the more advanced writing techniques (such as dual layer) are just not possible on home recording setups yet.

Im not thinking its the ps... heck, it let me hardcore game for about an hour with no lockups whatsoever.
I pulled the ti4200, put the radeon back in, let it go through the intial setup before the first restart, replaced card, and everything works... crazy huh?
