Tried to burn a DVD in Win XP...

There is no way around it. XP simply does not support DVD burning as a function of XP. I would have thought that your -712A would have shipped with PlexTools Professional. Freeware DVD burning? Don't know anything about that. Sorry.

Can I play Quake 4 without the DVD?

As an alternative to a no-cd patch, you could just download the v. 1.0.4 patch. Or even the v. 1.0.5 beta. They remove the need for a CD.

Q: What was the last CD you bought?

I'm all about personal responsibility, but at the same time I have to say that it's a sorry bank that has a cutoff time for in-person cash deposits. At the very least, that deposit should have posted at midnight with debits posting immediately afterwards.

The danger in typing slow is that there can be five posts between my start and stop. She brought in a check and deposited it in an effort to cover all debits and it missed the cutoff time? That makes a lot more sense than if she had brought in cash. The green kind of cash.

If you don't have the patience for 100 different gauges I think you might be best staying away from the jets. I would recommend Microsoft's propeller sims to anyone. Graphics are superior and the planes are actually flyable. Combat Flight Simulator 2 with a Pearl Harbor add-on is really good...
