I'm putting together a new sytstem and I've pretty much settled on MSI 6380 KT266A RAID MOBO. Opinions?

I am running a MSI K7T266 Pro-R, and it is running great. Make sure you get the board that you want, as there are two K7T266A boards, and three K7T266's. It's fast enough for me. Bob 535

CD-Burner prob w/ XP

MoOo, There is a patch on the Microsoft Update page for CD burners and XP. Go to the "start" button on the desktop, and look for the "Windows Update" icon. Press that and it will take you to the update page. It will ask to scan your system, click "scan". It will tell you about the updates that...

Sorry guys!!!! Double post. Anyways, I've seen a good review and a bad review. Someplace else I will not mention. Wait until Anandtech covers it, that's what I'm going to do. If it's junk, I'll build an KT266A instead.

Change Bios CAS latency?

I changed the CAS latency to 2, and have'nt had any crashes yet, (about 22 hours). Thank you Acanthus, if the system acts up, I will return to the 2.5 latency to keep from burning something up. I'll continue to run here untill the system becomes unstable. It seems to be running fine? Thanks...

Change Bios CAS latency?

Hi LS20, I'm using 2x 256 MB of Crucial PC2100 DDR ram rated @ 2.5 by Crucial's site (#CT3264Z265). Thanks for the response!! I'll get my nerve up as well and change the CAS rate to 2. Will respond back to you with the results. Best Regards, Bob535

Ga-7dx ram problem

No FreeRide, I had one stick of 256MB Corsair PC2100, and it read it as 256MB. But I just installed another 256MB of Crucial PC2100 to my machine and it is reading 511MB, not 512MB? I'm not sure what could be going on in your case, but if it were me, I would pull it out and put it back in just...
