HD problem?

The other day a friend of mine turned on his computer and when he tried to open a file in his second HD windows said that the disk needed to be reformated. Are there any utility programs out there that might be able to reformat the drive without loosing the data? Or are there any programs...

how to open ports in a firewall?

I don't know. It is done by the ISP, not by my friend. He called the company, but in the contract he signed said that he agreed to have certain ports closed and the tech support said they didn't know how to do it. The city in Spain where he lives only has one DSL provider so he's kinda stuck...

Can anyone tell me how to open ports in a firewall? I don't have much info about the firewall in peticular. A friend of mine is in Spain and his DSL comes with a firewall and he needs to open some ports to use some internet phone stuff. Right now i think that just the basic ports like http...

DVD Player *cheap* *region free* at a store near you

You can hack the Apex 660 just by burning a CD with the upgrade and putting it in. It also disables the macrovision. I did it and it works fine.

how to get around a firewall?
