Congrats for the DPC !!!!! Nice dump on OGR...

A couple of weeks ago I decided I would go from RC5 to OGR when we'd hit #1... Here I am, helping get DPC to the top in every contest (well except for those weirdos lookin' for aliens or something ;))

Columns in Acrobat

Is it just me? I want to kill the 2 columns I have in a PDF file (which was generated by Ventura, but I don't think that matters...), so that what's left is just one column with the text etc. I can't find an option or something in Acrobat that does that kind of thing... (and yes, I do have...

simple XML question

I'm not an XML king, but I am trying to learn it :) I think the syntax is c:\> xt source stylesheet result So it looks like you forgot to put in something. Maybe it's just that you don't have xt.exe??? Get is here: http://www.jclark.com/xml/xt.html (as well as some explanation) Hope this helps...

*** Unable to connect (No buffer space available)

This error I get sometimes, in mIRC. Other internet related apps give the same kind of errors, when it's that time again. I've got no idea what it means. The problem is solved when I reboot, and it comes back... or not. There seems to be nothing that triggers it. Any ideas? TIA for them :)

Why would someone want dual-head setup?

The only sucky thing is that PCI cards are hard to find these days (and more expensive then AGP cards), especially with W2K. None of the cheap S3 cards work, for instance. With 2 monitors, you just see more. Why would someone want a 21" monitor opposed to a 14" one? DUH! :) BTW, when...

ARGH! Webcam 3 + W2K + SP1

Eh that's not true. I think every Webcam manufcturer says he has W2K support, but it sucks for the greater part. Creative is the most f.u.c.k.ed one, IMHO. They have drivers on their site, but they just don't work. Especially not with SP1... Still I can't believe that there is nobody on the...

OK now this is fun... I've got a Webcam 3, and I want to use it too! I have W2K and SP1 installed. When I instal creative's driver (called wc3wdrv.exe, and when you look at the version it says 1.0.0.0 driver for Webcam Go???) it gives me a BSOD. Auch. So, you reboot, right? BSOD again, and...

YES! You definately need a firewall. You probably want one that's easy to use an configurable, I recommend atguard (tucows has it probably). A lot of people use blackice, but I think blackice is irritating because it's too agressive about stuff that isn't dangerous. Atguard has rules and when...

Splitting up a large file?

Hello there... I've got a large .cab file (99MB), which I want to put on a 100MB zip. Ofcourse it doesn't fit, so I was wondering if I could split the file in 2 or something? I tried opening it with winzip but it gave an error about the file not being a real cab from microsoft. Sugestions? Thanx!

Campaigns: DPC and AT - is the MF impressive? I think NOT...

Hmz, if 2,5 M is a good guess, that's not very impressive, I think. Especially when you consider that a little team (that's what DPC would be if all TA's joined forces) like us will do 2M every day after MF6. Right? :) Edit-> too many typos :)
