I bought my XM off the forums. I think it is oEM but I was able to get all the software from the creative forums. Creative doesnt offer you the software directly from their downloads section, they only offer you the drivers and a few other programs. You have to go into their forums and there is...
If you are looking to receive HD channels I have heard many good things about the MYHD card. I have the Dvico FusionHDTV5 RT Gold and have been satisfied with it. I have also pwned the Haupagge PVR-150 and if you aren't going for HD it is a solid buy.
I love my Canon A70 and have gotten many complements on its picture quality. It has served me well and still working like new even though I have dropped it on more than one occasion. I will probably get something a bit smaller for my next digital camera but other than that I see no reason to...
Exactly, generally speaking macs are much more stable. I don't have any problems with viruses/spyware that why I said "I COULD acquire..." so calm down with your accusations.
I have a PC desktop and a Mac laptop, they both have their good points. 99% of the spyware/viruses that I could acquire while on my PC have no effect on my Mac. Although the Mac is much more reliable, it is no where near as fun.
archcommus, your best bet is to just switch to another tuner. This one will only cause you further headaches. It literally took me less than 5 minutes to get a Hauppagge/Dvico tuner running smoothly.
That is probably not the answer you want to hear but I am speaking from experience.
I'm not sure how this will effect heat transfer but with the Evercool heatsinks there will be a overhang when applied to the Ati chipset. The chipset is where the heat is primarily coming from, a heatsink+fan solution would be ideal. I also had overheating issues with a ATi Tuner and that thing...
ATH-A900 or DT770. I've read that there is not enough difference between the A700 and A500 for the average user to notice. I am using the ATH-A500's and they are great, I would highly recommend them if you are looking to spend a little bit less for some great headphones.
The DT770 has velour...
I think it should be somewhat self explanatory. Usually I either have two windows open or I am watching TV/movie along with an open app or browser. It's not really intended for the browser to be full screened.
I have the ATH-A500, it is pure auditory bliss. They are pretty big but really comfortable and gaming is so much more fun with them. 3D positioning/soundstage is very good and I am able to hear ppl through the walls. ;p
Make sure to get the ATH-A500 not the AD-A500, because closed headphones...
How does the firefly remote compare to the sivler 45 button Hauppagge? I am using WinTV2K and it seems to be working good. What makes BTV worth the extra money?
Well, given it is a mATX board with a pretty tall NB heatsink, I would say not likely to fit. I have never seen an XP-90 up close so I can't say for sure.
I have the 19" viewsonic widescreen, it is awesome and gets nothing but good reviews. Everything looks so much better on a widescreen.. games/dvds/etc, it is also much easier to multitask with the widescreen. There is one in fs/t right now if youre interested.
What program are you guys using to watch TV? I am using Beyond TV Trial and thinking about purchasing it. It seems better than the bundled software.
How is the picture reception/quality on the HD channels? I am using the TV Wonder Elite with the 550 chip and the picture quality is quite...
Did you get to see what the video quality was like? I was thinking about getting that HDTV Tuner and would like your opinion. I have a good non-HDTV Tuner (ATi TV Wonder Elite) but I want to try HD. How is the reception for the HD channels? Thanks.
1)Most newer Antec PSU's will work fine. I ran Antec Truepower 2.0 and Seasonic S12 in mine with no problems.
2)I am not sure on this one, but my SATA II drive is run with a cable that is labeled SATA II Signal.
3)Not exactly sure what you are asking.
3.1)I use rounded cables and they...
I think you will be asking for trouble if you don't supplement your Raid0 with a backup drive. I was running Windows on a single WD drive and happened upon two 160GB Seagate drives that were of the same specs, so I decided to try out Raid0 and I am glad I did. I have def. noticed better...
I went from a 7600GT to a x1900xt 256mb and was blown away at the difference in picture quality. Granted these two cards are in two separate price categories, but wow what a difference. All the textures now look so vibrant and real. When I plant the bomb for the T side, the bomb actually looks...
I have 2 drives in Raid 0 and 1 drive as a backup for my important stufff. It seems to work out pretty well. I do still backup my Raid drives with DVDs every once in while.
So far on my new build I needed a floppy for:
new bios
memtest86
HD diagnostic tools
HD low level formatting
So yes I would def. recommend installing a floppy drive.
