try installing w2k over the exisiting. it'll save you time, and you will still have your settings from prior, unless you installed a lot of programs. Next time, install 2k on your c and me on your d :)
Same thing like NT or 2k. Do a convert c: /fs:ntfs

i hear you about the compatibility problems man. But S0me1x is right, do a clean install. Upgrading from 98 -> XP is dangerous. Your basically installing a new generation of drivers and software patches onto your system.
