Trying to see if dual boot will work with win2k

Hey guys I have win2k installed and i recently realized that my direct3d games lock up. That is not the thing though. I've tried everything to fix the problem. Believe me..... everything...... :) I was just wondering..... if i went and installed 98 on the same partition i know it would put win...

Will Win2k let me do a direct upgrade from WinME?

You'll find Dell is the most f***ked up computer distributor in the world. Warning to you, if you decide to put 2k on the computer, the warranty will be voided and they won't help you with anything (dell i'm talking about).

nwlink ipx/spx interfere with internet connection sharing?

I was wondering if anyone knew whether the nwlink ipx/spx protocol screws with internet connection sharing. I had to install it to play with my brother in starcraft over the lan. but when he came out of it, he had no internet, so I'm wondering if that was the case. Any help would be appreciated...

Having lot's of lockups with new tbird system

Most of the time with an athlon and especially with a thunderbird you're gonna NEED a 300 watt power supply. See if that fixes ur problem

But let me ask you, the installation does not complete correctly without the cd rom drives being recognized am i right? (it tries to copy certain items like start menu programs and internet explorer and stuff) so after you get the drives to recognize, how do you get those programs to install...

I have an a7v as well, is that the thing in the device manager that says VIA Bus Master PCI IDE Controller? If so, how do i change it to the normal IDE controller? I have one already! :) (I see two other things in hd controllers) Primary IDE controller (dual fifo) and Secondary IDE controller...

Dude I have the same problem. I have one DVD (samsung sd606) and a writer (hp 9110i). When i boot to win 2k, nothin, when I boot to win 98 no prob. I'm not sure what the problem is, but i think it might be a cdrom firmware issue, or possibly an ide problem with the motherboard (i doubt it...

Help! Can't lower my clock multiplier!

What does theoritical 200mhz FSB mean?

The bus on an athlon mother board is 100, but it is DDR which means it goes on the rising and falling edge of the clock. Therefore 100 x 2 = 200. Always 200 mhz

In games, is there a noticeable diffrence between a Duron 750 and a Tbird 900?

Really, if you have a respectable video card, you wont see much of a difference at all. I have a tbird 900 and my friend has a duron 700. We both have good video cards i don't see the difference. But if you're buying for the longrun, go with a tbird or wait for the palomino's to come out. You...

Anyone know the voltage setting for a tbird 900?

I have a thunderbird 900. I'm all set to go into jumper mode and set fsb and multiplier settings, but i'm not sure on which voltage to use. Does anyone know?
