HELP I keep getting the error "Page can not be displayed"

Create a new user, log on as that user and see if you get the same thing...could be the user profile is corrupt. Just a thought.

Holy crap... Computer freezes before I can even FDISK

a processor heats up fast. I've experienced the exact same symptoms and was a heat problem. Fan was spinning but wasn't seated properly. I reseated it, problem went away. Good luck.

Trouble with file sharing between 2 home computers

check nic settings...if set to autonegotiate, try changing to 100mb full duplex on both. Also maybe try a different cable. Just some thoughts.

IE and FF crashing randomly

got this for the first time this morning from espn.com. Found out it had to do with a flash plugin. I had the ADblock extension installed so I went to preferences and type in the following...http://adsatt.espn.go.com/* I closed FF, reopened it and problem went away. May be a similar fix for...

Motherboard freezes viewing BIOS.

I've had this happen to me in the past and it was the processor fan, thus a heat issue. Check all fans. Good luck.

Verify Full Duplex Networking 2000/XP

I think the color just indicates whether or not your running at 10mbps or 100mbps...I don't know how to verify the duplex.

When you delete something, even though it doesn't show up in the recycle bin, if you right click the recycle bin, is empty recycle bin an option or is it greyed out?

Slipstream

If you mean can you slipstream the beta version XPSP2 the answer is yes. I've done it strictly for testing purposes and it worked fine. I used this as a guideline and just replaced SP1 with SP2. Good luck.

Force users to use the new XP Start menu?

I think this a little to restrictive for what they want...as they state, they don't mind if they alter the preferences on this start menu. As for why they want to do it, I don't really care, but I do find it interesting, after briefly looking for an answer, that you can easily force users...

Help! Windows XP machine keeps loosing domain

Don't know if this will help, but sounds like a DNS issue. Under TCP/IP properties make sure DNS is set to automatic and also check under the Advanced button and look at the DNS tab there. Good luck.

My internet explorer is acting up

A couple of questions... 1)What os? 2) Is there a button you can click on to list the problem? Microsoft has quite a few answers in its knowledge base but they depend on what os your running and the actual problem that is stated in the list. Good luck.

Win 98 boot disk, copying folders?

XCopy isn't on your boot disk for this reason. You had to copy it manually. The three files you need are xcopy.exe, xcopy32.exe and xcopy.mod. If you have access to a Win98 machine just follow the directions here. If you don't, you can get the files here. Good luck.
