Help with german umlauts on USA XP install (ö ä ß etc.)

flexy, do you know if many of the indexers automagically add the 'de-umlauted' version of a keyword when they index, such as 'Die Bücher' would get indexed with 'Die Bücher' and 'Die Buecher'? I haven't looked at indexers in about 8 years, so I have no idea what they're doing these days.

X-QPack, HR-03 on a X1950Pro

Please help me choose a PSU?

I'll throw in another vote for the SST50EF. I've been very impressed by how stable it is under load. Their "shorter cables" will still connect most everything in a mid-tower ATX and smaller.

memory problems on lenovo t60

I would first reseat the RAM. You can look at the factory chip for comparison. Have you tried taking out the 512MB and run with just the Buffalo? Did you verify the Buffalo timings to be the same as what's currently in there? Normally, I would suggest going with a more name brand RAM...

Mixed Ram Brands, same timings...

One thing I found out after posting is that Lenovo's factory RAM module was made by Micron, and Kingston uses Micron chips as well. So we have two modules made by different companies with the same chips. At this point, I'm seriously thinking that it is an OS issue dressed in hardware symptoms.

Mixed Ram Brands, same timings...

Kingston has RAM for Lenovo T60's that are matched down to the submodel number. We've had a number of these purchased for our T60's at work (all the same model/submodel). 2 of the machines experience OS hangs intermittently (screen freeze, no BSOD) when the upgrade in placed in their machines...

I only have marketing pictures to go by(oddly enough, with no common mobo orientation) and I'm trying to see the diff. b/w Sapphire's PCI-E X1 location and Abit's. I think I see sound headers/connectors between the 1x and end of the board, but I'm not sure if that's what you're talking about...

Did Lenovo just kill the "original" T-series thinkpad?

One good thing about the T61's is that they'll drive down the price of the T60's even further. I've used a 1951FS1 for about a year now and have been quite pleased with it, except for some of the Thinkvantage bloatware.

Wireless PCI card for Vista?

I'm building a new mATX system and currently have a D-Link G520b. D-Link's beta drivers work, but only at 54Mbs. Can anyone recommend a good PCI wireless card that's compatible with the DGL-4300 in Super G mode with non-beta Vista drivers?

Damn. If the PSU on the MX6 is worth anything, I might have gone with that. I had originally wanted a Cooler Master Mars in there, but saw the inside and cursed. If someone does figure out how to keep it structurally sound and put larger HSF's in there, lemme know. :-)

Here's what I was talking about. I think it confused me a little because it defines the TJunction as a MSR with a preset constant, then there are two MSR's who report the delta of each core. However, in the program, it just says core1 or core2. I can't tell if those two are already calculated...

Shabby. I'm a little shaky on how to interpret what Coretemp is displaying. According to the site, I should read the core temp = tjunction - delta. Either assuming that the delta is core0-1, each core would be 85-11 = 74C? Splitting that in half would bring it more in-line with my Northwood...

Thanks, MrNeutrino. I've been checking out the Silverstone ST50EF-Plus. JonnyGuru.com was happy with it, but I want modular cabling. The Corsair looks good, especially if it's more quiet than my current candidates. Aesthetically speaking, it matches the case in terms of color as well.
