Where to get replacement logic boards?

Yes, $575 is the all in price. I'm realizing that's not too bad considering the nonavailability of spare parts. Ebay is about my only option to replace my 8gb version.

Where to get replacement logic boards?

Hello all, My 2013 MacBook Air suffered a logic board failure today. Authorized repair shop needs $575 to replace it. Does anyone have recommendations on where online to purchase the part so I can replace it myself? I'd need the i5 8gb version. Cheers, Swanny

Verizon DSL in Norfolk, VA - Is it Acceptable?

excel vs. whole new program

You should be able to find a free program that will do something like that. For one, you could download Palm Desktop. It's meant to work with a Palm handheld, but it's free and you don't have to sync with a handheld. It's good for schedules, to-dos, and contacts.

The setup would go Modem -> Router -> Switch (optional) -> PCs The router will do Network Address Translation, letting all your computers share the one internet connection. This is very commonplace.

I just ran Hijackthis and was wondering if someone could look at what it found.

He means line 20, not O20. Deleting that file will help. Fix it using Hijack this, then delete the file. Then run spybot S&D and adaware sweeps.

If I were you I'd split the miniplug coming out of the sound card, not the speaker outs. You can get a miniplug to RCA converter pretty cheaply. This will be the best for quality, although still not ideal.

Is there any way to force TV out on a video card?

Frusteratingly, I have not found a function to force TV-out. That's what I've been looking for. The XGI utility does let me run a re-detection, but it still thinks there's no receiver. I think I'll need some sort of 3rd party or Windows app to force TV-out.

Toss the deskstar 75gxp?

Consider yourself lucky if your Deathstar hasn't died. If you're not ready to upgrade and you're comfortable using the least reliable drive EVER (besides maybe the 60GXP), you can stick with it. Personally, I wouldn't trust a 75GXP to keep my data safe. Also, the 8Mb buffer on newer drives...

Memory problems, think it might be the Athlon 64 memory controller.

This RAM did work fine up until a little bit ago, so I don't think it's that the board and RAM are incompatible. The original RAM is mushkin basic, which is nothing special. The other RAM, however is Corsair XMS Platinum, so it is good stuff. Both have problems.
