    Benchmarked my GeForce3 Ti 200 and got a mere 6489 using 3DMark 2001 SE. WHY?????

    I took my GF 3 Ti 200 from around 7100 to 9100 by overclocking the card to 245/550 without any stability problems. This was on a P4 1.6A running @ 2.4. These cards usually overclock pretty well.

    Well, what I meant was, if you could somehow get the .config file for your currently running kernel and then take a look at it. I know you can do this in madrake, but, the src directories are a little different in RH.

    You will have to compile another kernel. You can look under /usr/src/linux-2.4/configs (I think that is the path) and you will see the file kernel-2.4.18-athlon-smp.config (I belive). This should have all of your default settings, plus support for SMP Athlons.

    Well, I am not a total genius in this regard, but, are you changing the multiplier before you crank it up to 133? If not, then it is probably more of the chip not being able to overclock that high, and that is why you are having problems.

    I was having the same problem on my system. I have a p4 1.6A @ 2.4 and it would happen all the time. The fix for me was to bump up the core voltage on the cpu. Don't know why, everything else ran stable, but I haven't gotten a blue screen after I did that.
