Looks like my Dell8400 has a PCIex16 slot and a 350W powersupply. Could I get away running either a 8800GT or a 9800GT in there? If you think the 8800GT will work, is the PNY card any good seeing how that appears to be the only one left on Newegg?

I just started running folding for the team. It took almost 2 days to complete my first work unit and just posted 225 points. Is there anything I can do to speed up my old Dell 8400? Its running one of the old hot P4 3.2 GHz, with 1 MB of RAM. The folding keeps the fans running pretty good...

High CPU Usage

High CPU Usage

Everynow and then my CPU usage gets pegged around 60% and it will stay that way until I shut down my computer or go into Task Manager and shut down the culprit. Its always the program iexplore.exe There is always 2 of them showing with one showing roughly 50% usage. Is this Internet Explorer...

Mac Screen Saver

I was in CompUSA the other day and saw their Macs with some cool screen savers. It was nature pictures and I guess they come with OS X. Is there a way to install the pictures on XP and use them for a sreen saver? Or is their a software program for XP that has the same cool pictures?

Play Game with no CD

I installed the trial version of Alcohol 52%. When I go to make a copy to my hard drive I get a bunch of Disk Read Errors. I have a feeling I need to select the datatype from the drop down menu, but I have no idea what I need to select. I am trying this with my Red Alert II disk.

Network Dead after SP2 Install

Finally figured out what was going on. It turns out Norton Security was updated at the same time and the firewall was turned on during this update. I disabled Norton's firewall and everything is working like before. Thanks for the suggestions.

I don't know of any laptops out there that can hold two hard drives. I imagine there may be some but I would think this would be extremely rare. I would think your laptop will only hold one drive. You will have to do what ShellGuy said.

I would also like to know the reason Apple only supports DVD-R? And what happened in the past with +R/RW? It doesn't make sense if the drive can write these formats but Apple specifically takes this capability away.

I am in the process of either buying a desktop replacement notebook or a Shuttle SFF AMD64 setup. I had a question about the chip and the cooling. Do I buy the retail chip and just stick it in there or do I buy OEM and have to use the cooling system that comes with the Shuttle? Confused.
