I'm looking at replacing my dual screen setup with a single 32" LCD. However, before I can do so, I first need to find a utility/driver that will let me specifically define the window position (size/location) of certain applications when they are open.
For example, I'd always like Firefox to...
Thanks. I think I've resigned myself into setting up another machine. The dedicated appliances (gigabit) are all too much $ unfortunately and have a bunch of features that I don't need.
Thanks for the recommendations guys. However, I'm really looking for an "appliance" type product like the VPN-1 Edge X8 that was mentioned.
Ideally, it would be Gigabit and $800 or less.
I'm currently using a NetGear RT314 as a firewall to my webserver. And it works pretty well. But it's not designed for the traffic that I'm getting on the server and it's become a bottleneck.
Can anyone thus recommend a dedicated firewall that can basically have more than 1 IP address on...
But when I try to create the entire webpage in Acrobat is breaks it up into 8.5x11 pieces. So I changed the paper sizes to something really big and anything except 8.5x11 causes some of the gfx to break apart.
I'll definitely give Snag-It a try though!
I unfortunately don't think that that would get the full length of the page that I'm trying to capture at the highest resolution supported by my video card. Perhaps my laptop though...
I tried changing the size of the page in Acrobat but a lot of graphics wound up messed up.
I'm trying to create an image that spans the full length of a web page (even below the monitor "fold"). Is there a program that will let me do this? Thanks!
I wanted to install a 300GB Seagate drive (Seagate 300GB ST3300831A-RK UATA100 8MB Buffer) in my old Dell Dimension 4300, running XP Pro, but was curious if the Dimension 4300 even supported drives of that size. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Can anyone recommend an IM client/server application (hopefully cheap) for small businesses? The public IM networks are insecure and Jabber looks expensive. I thought ACDSee used to sell one but it looks like they cancelled it.
Thanks!
I'm looking to be able to swap two laptop hard drives in my T42 relatively seemlessly. However, I only have the one metal/foil hard drive "cage" (the part that gets screwed on to both the hard drive itself and the black molding) that came with the laptop. Anyone know where I can buy a spare...
I'm trying to design an anti-spam defense (e.g, SpamAssasin) for the new JPG virus and am looking for examples of the virus to test with. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
Don't post examples in your message please (duh). Just example sites, so I can take a look in Linux...
Thanks for the feedback.
I don't use Exchange so it would have to be a PST solution. And I thought about Flash drive transport but was concerned that: A) USB 2.0 wouldn't be fast enough for the constant reading and writing; and B) that the PST file could somehow become corrupt running off of a...
Basically, I'm looking for a program that will let me use the same Outlook file both at work and at home.
I've got to believe that this is a common problem. And I've found numerous programs on Google that claim to have the best solution. But I don't know which ones actually work....
I've...
Thanks for all of the suggestions. What I would up doing is moving the access point to the middle of the basement. I then bought a bridge which I wired into an upstairs hub. Combined, I get a 40% signal which is good enough for Internet traffic. Meanwhile, I will look into the new 12xx...
I'm looking for an enterprise grade 802.11g (also b preferrable) access point that can break through 3 house floors while still maintaining an excellent signal strength. I'm currently running an old Cisco 340 Series 802.11b access point which only does a mediocre job. Can anyone recommend...
I'm looking for a way to easily transport my Outlook file between multiple computers and I was thinking of just keeping my Outlook PST file on a small USB 2.0 key fob that I could carry around. Has anyone had any problems doing this? Any performance slowdowns? Thanks!
I'm looking to buy a headset for my telephone that provides excellent sound and is reliably built. I seem to go through the $50 Plantronics ones from Staples in a couple of months. I'm willing to spend money to get a quality product but don't know where to start. HelloDirect's prices seem off...
Are we sure that they are the same ones? E.g., InfoGlobe 3000s? Because a lot of people had their Target ones die after a few months. But the reviews for this particular model at Amazon are fairly positive.
There is nothing on Dell's US warranty disclaimer that says that it can't be transferred and it is specifcally allowed in Dell Canada. Has anyone done this for the U.S. though? Thanks.
I bought 2 512 chips from NewEgg and the Dell BIOS confirms that they are running at 400MHz but it says "single" mode. Should this be dual? If so, how can I change that? Thanks.
So. based on Yomama's findings with the standard 128MB stick that came with the computer, what can we conclude? That the Kingston HyperX RAM isn't worth the money? Sorry for the stupid questions...
Another RAM idiot here... Can someone just give me the right Crucial part # to buy. I'm looking for 2 256MB sticks for dual channel please. Also, what do I do with the 128MB stick that came with the machine? Keep it in there with the 2 256MB ones? Or will that stop the dual channeling? Thanks.
How does this compaire to the 400SC deal that's on-going (it might be dead by now). It was a 2.8Ghz HT machine with a great case, Gigabit Ethernet, 400w power supply, 36GB SCSI drive for about $550 shipped. Clearly, the Radeon in this box is much better but is that worth an extra $500? Thanks!
