I am in the process of getting a DVD burner to back up DVD movies.
Do I need a DVD-ROM to read from?
I do not anticipate using the burner for much other than movie back-up's, any opinions on NEC ND-2500A or Lite-On 811?

I run my computer at 1024x768 video resolution. In the last few day's when I go into Internet Explorer it looks like it is running at about 640x480 vid. res. every other program looks like it runs at the correct res.

hen you go to a DOS prompt and type format A:\ /s it tells you to use add/remove programs to create a start-up disk. This disk CDROM support and all kinds of utilities, not just a plain bootable floppy.
If the drive is too loose use washers, but put them between the drive and the rail. If you put them between the head of the screw and the rail you may have some trouble getting the drive in the slot with the screw head sticking up, and if the screw gets loose and backs out you will have a tough...

Is there any difference between the power supply in a Micro ATX case and the power supply in a regular ATX case?
If a Micro ATX MB will mount in a regular ATX case will all function fine?

I was using a ps AMD rated to T-bird 800 and I was running a 1000 on it not OC'ed, the system got unstable as I added more to it (HD's, CDR's ...). Went to an Enlight ps rated to handle up to 1.33k, not a problem and the whole system seems to run faster.
Power supplies are cheap compared to...
If you will go to AMD's website and key in a low speed T-bird, say 700, in the approved power supply section it will give you every ps they have tested stable and on the right side it will show you what speed processor they feel it will handle.
Do not HAVE to have one ... a lot will depend on how hane other things the powersupply is running, HD's CR's CDR's and so on.
Overtax the power supply and performance will drop, system will become unstable.

Boot the board and find out the BOIS version, check the versions more recent than yours and the benifits. Some MB's it will be a must to flash, some it won't be necessary.
