Hi guys,
I downloaded Anandtech's demos but I can't run the benchmarks. It says demo header is outdated version 6, when my source code is version 7. Is there another way to run benchmarks for Half Life 2?
Thanks!
Hi guys-
I'm hoping a network guru can help me out here. I want to test my router's range and throughput but how do I go about doing that? What sort of software would I need to run on my laptop?
Thanks for your help!!!
Did anyone else get their ordered cancelled? The status was in-stock at time of purchase and they did not contact me to inform me it was backordered.
Is this legal?
You probably just had a bad PCI card. I have the WMP54G and it's all the way down stairs in the living room and the range is rated as EXCELLENT. The antenna on the Linksys PCI card is more powerful and larger than the standard antennas from Netgear, D-Link, and Belkin, so technically the range...
Not true. Netgear and D-Link uses a technology which is advertised as "108MBps" by combining two channels (54MBps each) which requires you to use a complient "108MBps" in order to fully utilize the increase bandwidth/speeds.
SpeedBooster technology by Broadcom uses a single channel that will...
So I can't run it at 533MHz FSB for the CPU and 333MHz for PC2700 then since my system bus is designed to match up with PC2100?
Another note, the ECS motherboard isn't Dual-Channel compatible.
Thanks again!
Hi Thanks for your response!
My motherboard is an ECS PT800CE based on the Via VT8237 chipset.
It supports DDR333/DDR400 but my CPU is 533MHz.
Thanks again for your input!!!
Hi everyone- I need a little information from your expertise: I have a Pentium 4 2.4A 1MB Cache, and 533MHz FSB along with DDR333 PC2700 SDRAM.
My motherboard supports PC2700/PC3200 and in the Bios setting, it says my CPU and DRAM clock speeds are 133MHz - is this correct?
Thanks for your...
I have nothing but good things to say about this router, especially the SpeedBooster model. This Router will boost your 802.11g network even WITHOUT speedbooster adapters! Unlike Netgear's marketed "108MBps" Super-G and D-Link's advertised "108MBps", you need to buy their associated PC Card, PCI...
Well, the Apple forum was very helpful! It looks like the NVIDIA Beta drivers resolved the problem with loosing the resolution.
My Radeon X800 arrived and it now shows the bios and tne resolution saves fine!
Thanks for everyones response, much appreciated.
Hi-
Here is what I did. I installed the videocard (MSI 6800) and connected it to a 18" Dell LCD display. Installed the latest Nvidia reference drivers, rebooted and then set the native resolution for the 18" display. I turned off the PC, disconnected the 18" Dell LCD display and connected the...
Hi guys-
Has anyone encountered this problem: the resolution reverts back to 800x600 after a restart? I just hooked up the new Apple 23" Aluminum Display (1920x1200 native) and an MSI GeForce 6800NU using the latest Nvidia 61.77 drivers with no problems with the exception my BIOS screen no...
According to GamePC, the MSI NX6800 128MB has a fan switch to control the fan speed to low or high, low being nearly silent.
REVIEW HERE
I couldn't find a review for the GT version but the picture here almost looks like the 6800 version:

Does anyone know if the GT model has a fan...
According to GamePC's review of the BFG 6800GT, the fan is loud compared to the Radeon X800 Pro. I am debating between the eVGA 6800GT and Radeon X800XT.
Anyone have experience with the noise on the eVGA 6800GT ?
Thanks
Hi guys!
Will adding 2GB (2x1GB module) be compatible with the Asus P4P800 in Dual-Channel mode? The brand is KingMax PC3200 1GB Cas 2.5 Model: MPXD42D-D8KB3. I currently run with 512MBx2=1GB in dual-channel with Kingston brand and it works flawlessly. Not sure if 2GB will work.
Thanks for...
I just found the eVGA 6800 for $285 from Legend (link provided from eVGA authorized retailers):

Yes, I believe so. I've swapped PC2700 SODIMM DDR SDRAM from PC laptops to my PowerBook. I don't see why a PC3200 pulled from a Mac wouldn't work on a PC.
I ordered the eVGA as well. Looks a brand that provides better support and according to the video forum, people are having very good experience with it.
