Which video card/chip is on par with a 9800XT?

ok so a 7600GS is about on par with a 9800XT so anything higher than that would be better, and how about as far as ATI goes? Just in case I see a laptop that peaks my interest but it only has ATI as an option... thanks again

When burninga dvd in Nero, I'm noticing my drive buffer and my read buffer are dropping very fast. My drive buffer, which drops near instantly, goes from 99% ---1% ----99%----1% and it pauses the laser every time for the buffer underrun protection. The DVDs end up burned fine but it takes...

Which games support truform besides Serious Sam and Madden? I know Morrowind supports it via an unofficial mod, but what else? I've read that if it's enabled for games that don't officially support it, then it warps some models to the point where they don't look accurate...

No, the xbox does not auto upconvert to 1080i unless your tv specifically supports that. Yes the crop of HD xbox games for some reason is using 4:3 instead of 16:9 but I know Dragon's Lair 3D supports widescreen in all formats of HD including 720p and 1080i, as well as Street Hoops. I guess...

Make SURE that the TV supports 720p. If it does not (which many don't) then you won't be able to play xbox games in high definition. That's why I recommended the Hitachi simply because all of their TVs support almost EVERY SINGLE format. If you modify your xbox you can hack a specific program...

Where you see the 3200+ for only 270? Reliable store? Monarch and ZZF seem to both be sold out on the Asus K8V as well. Monarch says ETA 1/12/04 but it also says in stock underneat that, so I somehow doubt it's actually in stock =( Man Asus must be shut down for the winter or something...

Tabb: There is burn-in on TVs. TVs don't have the same color depth that monitors do. Certain games conflict with TV Output (widescreen.) The refresh rate cannot be changed on a TV. Unless you have a super high end 3500+ dollar DLP projector, don't bother with computer on a TV as a primary...

In need of help: power issues

heheeh I read on some post here that if I bend the power cord more then I'll get more voltage on the 5v rail. So I tried that and it WORKED! I got it from 4.68 to 4.75. LOL. well, yea I guess it's time for a new power supply. I've heard enermax + epox mobos aren't a good mix so should I go...
